I was in full agreement with you until this point. You're so anti-old firm it's f***ing embarrassing. The celtic team that was knocked out of europe is a patch on the team that has been built since. The team in the summer was literally thrown together weeks before the game. You're calling the old firm pathetic without acknowledging the fact that this is the best your country have to offer on the footballing scene. The SPL is pathetic. Not the old firm. If the Old firm were quality you'd be whinging that they're ruining the scottish game by stealing all the good players and buying their leverage above the rest of the league. You bitter bitter man.
In response to the main thread. Boyd just isn't as good as his goals suggest. He wasn't main striker at rangers for a reason. We could do with his goals now but unless you have the correct service, the bloke will be a massive massive let down.
I supported Rangers at every step of their run to the UEFA Cup Final, just like I supported Celtic in 2003. The fact that this is the best Scotland has to offer is no reason to give them a more favourable view. I wish they were better, I wish all the teams in Scotland were better, if they were the national team might be better.
I will continue to support the Old Firm and every scottish team in Europe, like I have always done. I don't hate the Old Firm, I just think they're currently shit and don't like the way they are run. I also hate that they, for years, stole the best players and didnt actually play them.
It's fine if they got on the pitch, Champions League experience would be great for them, but half of them just sat on the bench, when they could have been playing for one of the other SPL teams.
