Sacked for "cricketing reasons" despite the fact he was our top run scorer in The Ashes.

The leading run scorer in the ashes argument is like saying Paul Stewart shouldn't have been let go because he was our leading goal scorer the previous season with 4 goals. You have a sh*t series and your a bellend it's a recipe for being dropped.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt presuming you weren't stupid enough to put pietersen down by using a bloke with one decent innings in test cricket to his name as good example.

Stokes is not also "one of our own" as he's not a local lad. This smacks of back tracking too.
Thats up to you, but i have already mentioned Stokes twice on this thread about his innings at Perth. But if you want to think of Durham batsmen scoring hundreds on a quick wicket in Australia and you think of Colly at Aderlaide and not Stokes at Perth, then i promise i will spell everything out for you in the future and not be quite so cryptic.

Stokes cannit score any other wicket than perth so far in his test career.

So not exactly a player you should be using the bash one of Englands greatest batsmen.

Valid points yet again

Based on that, a lot of the batsmen should have been dropped/sacked?

Lads, it's a bit 'more heat than light' in here at the moment, it's as bad as an England dressing room.

But has anyone set up a parody twitter account yet?

Again you are doing your impersonation of Peter Moores, I have never said KP should be dropped and have described him on this thread as a fine player, I have made a point that he has not scored centuries on certain wickets. I was aware of this fact by listening to an interview KP himself did with Darren Gough on his radio show before the last Ashes tour when he stated he would love to score a test hundred out there somewhere other than Brisbane.

Stop back tracking. You basically said on a bouncy wicket against a quick bowler he was always found out.

KP doesn't even get enough credit for what he did man. There'd have been no Ashes 2005 and no T20 World Cup without him and that is fact.

Graeme Swann can fuck off. Any man who leaves an Ashes series half way through, uses the word 'codswallop' or calls his son Wilf should not be taken seriously.

You do know that once it became clear that Swann's shoulder injury meant he wouldn't bowl again, he was sent home to make room for his replacement? A fact confirmed by both sides. He left because he was told to leave.

I see some little stories are coming out that KP told the physio that his knee was going to start playing up if we lost the 3rd Test........

A fact confirmed by both sides. .

I wouldn't trust the ECB if they told me today was Tuesday. Swann is a sly piece of work, wouldn't trust a word he says either. At the time when Swann bottled it, I can't ever remember any of the quotes/stories mentioning injury as the major factor. He's a bottler as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, I know you've drawn the lines and the ECB are to blame for everything and Pietersen can do no wrong. It's made me laugh more than once on this thread.

Swann says his elbow injury was career ending and he was sent home.
ECB say Swann's elbow injury was career ending and he was sent home.
Swann retires from all cricket days later.
Swann has surgery and still (8 months later) can't extend his arm fully.

But no, they're all lying and you - only you - know the truth.

PS - I used that trust joke on this thread ages ago, get your own material.

Why was it reported as such a shock when he bottled the series then? If he was so badly injured blah blah why was he selected time and time again when he must have been suffering, was it just a case of "face fits" and he's "one of the lads"?

Pietersen is no angel but I like people who speak their mind and don't just beat the drum of the majority just for the sake of it. He's a winner, our top runs scorer and a world champion. Some of those idiots at the ecb have hardly played the game. The money KP was earning was unreal and he was the main man who they all wanted (IPL), I still believe a lot of the "yes men" were jealous of that. One criticism I have of KP was he should have played more county cricket for Surrey this season but each to their own. His record at international level speaks for itself.

Be interesting to see what the bottler has to say, bearing in mind he said there were no issues during the Australian tour and he was baffled as to why KP was sacked.

You can't help yourself can you? Schoolground stuff.

Even the quickest of looks on the web will give all the answers you need in your 1st paragraph, facts that have been repeated by both sides. The spinner that went to Oz to replace Swann was Scott Borthwick.

Have a look back on this forum and you will find me defending Pietersen over the last few years when some were calling for him to be dropped, his talent isn't under question. The things that are starting to come out are showing that he is a complete an utter bellend (we knew that though) and was completely out of order in Australia. But keep banging the drum...

And why would he go back to Surrey when he can earn a fortune as a T20 rent-a-bat? There's no chance of him getting back in the England side, so get out and earn while you can.

I wonder why the ECB told KP this dossier never existed?

Borthwick was called up because he was already playing club cricket in Sydney.

From Cricinfo:
Pietersen himself refers in his autobiography to being alerted within days of the end of the Ashes series to the existence of what he prefers to dismiss as an "imaginary dossier". This is not quite the dirty dossier the cricket world hankers after. It was, however, drawn up to assist the ECB legal team. It outlines the breakdown in relationships between Pietersen and the England team director, Andy Flower, which is forthrightly described in the autobiography. The ECB confirmed the document was part of the Pietersen analysis, but stated: "It is simply part of a privileged legal document, produced by the ECB's lawyers compiling information as part of the ECB's internal due diligence ahead of the release of the Kevin Pietersen book."

So they didn't deny it then.

Scott Borthwick was called up to replace Swann, the other option would have been Kerrigan. I'd still play a one-armed Graeme Swann.

Love KP like. Made a scapegoat. Tells it like it rather than some of the sly fuckers.

Is he really a bellend though?

Never read as much Bollocks in all my time as this Dossier on ... It really has reached a peak now...

I would love to know who leaked the Dossier and how he or she thought it would help the situation#KPBookGate It's a absolute shambles

·
What's quite funny is England sacked who scored 13 thousand runs but the PR dream team has stayed the same...!!!!!
