Like it or not, the O'shea injury might mean he's going nowhere.
its something that cant be ignored... limping out yesterday... at city his legs looked gone... all the pace of douglas bader

all these things mean that he is a sqaud player at best... but you cant expect him to play 30+ games for us from now

The fucker has pretended to be injured to avoid playing in a game where we were desperate for bodies. He's finished here, and won't play for us again imo

Agree mate think this will go down to deadline day and once Moyes signs a replacement he'll sell Kone. I did think he would stay but now I'm thinking if there was the chance of him staying I doubt Moyes would have banished him from the training ground.

I'm surprised he hasn't retired from international football.

I cannot see the logic in keeping a player who has no interest in the club. If played, he will not put a full shift in which will affect his market value, and he will be yet another hanger on on the wages bill. I enjoyed watching him and Kaboul working together, and there is no doubt they were a major factor in our survival last season, but circumstances have changed so we move on.

going to the euros has inadvertently worsened our problems.

the question really is (for me) how much of an impact did kaboul have on Kones game...
without YK... does that diminish his performances...?

John O'Shea is getting on a bit and his legs are probably going but he's been a fantastic professional for the club and deserves more respect than that.

He was the main reason Boro never had a touch in our half before the lead up to their goal, he won everything in the air.
O'Shea has been one of the best £ for £ value signings we've made for me, but I bet even he thought he might get to sit on the bench with his feet up this season

Absolutely idiotic, petty, stupid decision.

For me he stays til Jan at least. Once the deadline has passed he will have no option. No doubt will be a little brinkmanship to start but I do think it will work out well in the end. We desperately need him.

Isn't it shit, that for all our short comings, centre back was one position we looked solid. We should have been thinking bring ne more cover player in for Brown then that's it
