We all laughed at those who said pre season that we had little too spend.

How right they were.

Take a bow those who did.

he'll end up going on deadline day for less than what we were offered last week

and then 'replaced' with some knacker like Lescott

Aye. I just knew when he overstretched yday that he would come off.
Was a shame. We were struggling to work out what we would do. Thought McNair would move back. Bit of a shambles like.

Aye legends them who were saying that.

No, keep him, wait till the window shuts, he'll realise he can play well and get a bigger January move, if that's what he wants.

If Moyes refuses to accept petulance then great, let's just make sure we replace them like for like while were acting hard or the team will be f***ing shit.

He should have been made to play, as should his watford bound mate.

Aye. You make good points. As I said, just venting about the shite situation we find ourselves

Vent away..

The club is run like corner shop.
Only Sunderland could find the situation we are now in.

Honestly i find it staggering.
As sick as.

Interesting. Saying that mind I would hope that it's not his kid. That would be awful but I am really not sure what is the actual reason. Whatever it is, we have lost a very decent centre back for 3m.
Not sure I buy the "sick child" story. So, his kids is ill and he wants to return to the Capital. To do what? Go to training every day and travel around the country every other week playing football whilst his kid is apparently sick in, hospital? Don't buy it

Short has been pretty candid in the past about players that have dicked us around (remember Crouch?). If there was anything dodgy about Kaboul's behaviour or reasons I'm sure he'd have told the people who spoke to him over the weekend.

Agreed, but I don't buy the sick child story. I think his "personal reasons" are that he wanted to live in London again

I think we should work hard to get as much as possible for him. Name a good price and start the bidding and get it spent. I don't like the slagging off of other players mind. In light of the way the club has been disrespected ( imho) by formed manager, agents, players and even country then those taking to the field and working hard to adjust and do their best should be applauded. To be fair Rodwell after adjustment did ok. The club should have delayed Kabouls departure until after yesterday though and have a lot of work to do.

That horse has bolted now, Everton holding all the aces, should've been sorted a month ago one way or the other...

Possibly bullshit, but the "personal reasons" were between him and Moyes is what I was told yesterday. Something that goes back years.

When did Moyes manage him like?

Heard off who? Him or Moyes? they have never worked together before so i would hazard a guess that thats bullshit

You don't have to have worked together to have issues. I can't remember fully due to alcohol but was seemingly an incident somewhere involving Kaboul and his wife after a match.

So people have been speaking to short from nights out and at the match and it appears that 'Kone is going no where'

I personally don't believe that to be true. Also, I think we should move him on. He isn't training, nor is he acting like a professional. It's to a massive detriment of the team when we needed him the most. Having to play in John O'rigamortis and Chodwell at centre back FFS. The fact Kone is actually fit and has a 'bad back' is taking the absolute piss. Get the money in, we should have weeks ago and get it spent.
The quote I got was he is going nowhere unless Moyes wants rid, which he doesn't.
