Was a shame. We were struggling to work out what we would do. Thought McNair would move back. Bit of a shambles like.Aye. I just knew when he overstretched yday that he would come off.
Aye legends them who were saying that.We all laughed at those who said pre season that we had little too spend.
How right they were.
Take a bow those who did.
It's because of him we had the alternatives FFSCannot believe that after seeing the alternatives yesterday, people still want rid of Kone![]()
We only have one fit central defender now so I think it forces us to keep him and hope his back gets better.
Yep, and now go back to him and both sides admit mistakes. Offer him a sufficient contract, and move on with the season with a clean slate. It's because of him we had the alternatives FFS
Aye. You make good points. As I said, just venting about the shite situation we find ourselves
Not sure I buy the "sick child" story. So, his kids is ill and he wants to return to the Capital. To do what? Go to training every day and travel around the country every other week playing football whilst his kid is apparently sick in, hospital? Don't buy itInteresting. Saying that mind I would hope that it's not his kid. That would be awful but I am really not sure what is the actual reason. Whatever it is, we have lost a very decent centre back for 3m.
Short has been pretty candid in the past about players that have dicked us around (remember Crouch?). If there was anything dodgy about Kaboul's behaviour or reasons I'm sure he'd have told the people who spoke to him over the weekend. Not sure I buy the "sick child" story. Agreed, but I don't buy the sick child story. I think his "personal reasons" are that he wanted to live in London againShort has been pretty candid in the past about players that have dicked us around (remember Crouch?). I think we should work hard to get as much as possible for him. Name a good price and start the bidding and get it spent. I don't like the slagging off of other players mind. In light of the way the club has been disrespected ( imho) by formed manager, agents, players and even country then those taking to the field and working hard to adjust and do their best should be applauded. To be fair Rodwell after adjustment did ok. The club should have delayed Kabouls departure until after yesterday though and have a lot of work to do.
Possibly bullshit, but the "personal reasons" were between him and Moyes is what I was told yesterday. Something that goes back years.
Heard off who? Him or Moyes? they have never worked together before so i would hazard a guess that thats bullshit

The quote I got was he is going nowhere unless Moyes wants rid, which he doesn't.So people have been speaking to short from nights out and at the match and it appears that 'Kone is going no where'
I personally don't believe that to be true. Also, I think we should move him on. He isn't training, nor is he acting like a professional. It's to a massive detriment of the team when we needed him the most. Having to play in John O'rigamortis and Chodwell at centre back FFS. The fact Kone is actually fit and has a 'bad back' is taking the absolute piss. Get the money in, we should have weeks ago and get it spent.
