Kodi stream blocking "game changer"

I haven't got Google store on my box. It's not an android box.

That might be the way to gan for me

I think so.

I'm running Win10 and have Kodi 17.3 installed with the SportsMania app / Covenant (Movies) etc (Loads of "how to" on You tube). I subscribe to NORDVPN for 2 years at $72. It's a piece of cake to install and use. (Maybe try a freebie first). I've had no problems thus far.

Where can I find a list of good iptv providers mate ?

https://www.iptvinsider.com/reliable-iptv-service-providers/

Most of the decent iptv providers have now got measures in place to get round the premier league court order so no need for a vpn with the majority of them.
I've noticed BEin and iFollow have been hoying up unique user ID codes randomly in various places on the screen during games. This will obviously identify the person who is subscribed to that stream and therefore they will be blocked and possibly even pursued by the broadcasters for restreaming. If more providers start doing this globally then surely it will be harder for someone to restream games?

At the moment the codes are quite visible but the restreamers could delay the stream a little more and then blank it manually if it can't be done automatically. However I think the broadcasters could quite easily make it harder to remove, even if blocking it manually.

If they are successful with this then there's no doubt the broadcasters will focus onto things like IPTV providers by simply starting to hoy up codes on non sport channels also. I don't know what will happen but it will be interesting to see how the dodgy suppliers etc get around these unique codes.

UK Turks addon for Kodi has worked perfectly so far this season.
Uk Turks for classic tv is the bees knees

There'll always be a way round it

I have found that my Firestick and cheap Amazon tablet buffer a lot this season using SM - almost unusable. Maybe that's because they lack processing power. I'm not sure.
My windows 10 devices (lappy and desktop) are performing excellently despite Sly and Bts attempts to fuck up the feeds.

If they can block the stream at source, ie they can identify the IP address producing the stream, then the fact you might be routing your box via a VPN isn't relevant. I'll concede that you might still be able to use a box via VPN to access a source that is streaming legitimately in its own particular jurisdiction. What they're doing will make it harder to find a stream.
Grumpy Old Man you sound like Niall Quinn!! Was Niall in the telecom business in Ireland?

Aye at the minute there is a way around as it's a black box on for a few seconds so easily catchable before re-streaming. Even so, it's not that simple with these ID being hoyed up randomly somewhere on the screen. I doubt the re-streamers will be able to do it automatically if the broadcasters start using more random text fonts/colours without the black background etc. If they do that then it will be very hard to distinguish it from the actual video due to all the background image variation also.

They may only need to hoy it up in 1 or 2 frames after a random time also so will be hard to spot during watching and more so to remove manually. Basically the broadcasters could make it much harder to remove if they wanted to and easy to identify where the source stream is coming from. That way they can stop it quite quickly and take action against the re-streamer if they choose.

That's the way it's heading in my opinion so signing up for a year sub is more of a gamble as the supplier may well have their sources cut off at any time.

Sky tried a similar tactic with the pint glass icon. It didnt work then.

At the end of the day, there will be eleven million of us in jail lying four to a cell. We need two million seven hundred and fifty thousand cells, twenty six thousand prisons, eight hundred and fifty thousand prison staff, four hundred thousand chefs capable of cooking fifty million meals per day and seven million Kodi boxes to keep us all happy for the three pm kick offs. No three pm kick offs and there will be hell to pay. Hank Williams will need to be on standby with his screw driver for those adjustments required to modify the refresh rates. That puts things into perspective. Doesn't it @Grumpy Old Man @hank williams

Kodi on Win10 with an iVPN works fine for Sportsmania, but as I only have an old Gen 1 firestick I cant do a vpn on that.
Are you sure? I have a Gen 1 Firestick. It got a firmware update in about June and now iVanish works on it ok.
