It’s alright having long term goals etc, and it is obviously needed but it could all become pointless if they lose fanbase trust year one.
The longer we plod along with results like recently…. Pompey Thrashed, Charlton out fought while having no manager, Rotherham (a rival) thrashed, Sheff Wed (a rival) thrashed. Mansfield beat us with no fuss, Ipswich let’s face it it was shite yes a result but if you watched like owner did you’d be still concerned, Shrewsbury 10 men goal up bottom 4 team can’t even beat them
Let’s add in having bottom of league form at end of last season 1 win in 11 games blowing promotion
The manager is pissing the fan base off.
The above is fact/reality an owner if he’s one to back managers in adversity that’s not a bad thing however a non promotion campaign with Johnson here for sake of it I think his long term plan may be at risk before it’s started
His first test as owner thud if he’s alright with what he’s seeing and buying these Johnson sound bite cliches then that would concern me more than anything else

Prove your the right owner of this football club please. You really need to step up now and show your ambition for this club. I'm sick to fuck of owners and who love the thought of owning our football club but don't have any ambition or any intention of spending money

It's time to act and show your ambition in getting out of this f***ing division, it's 4 years now and we are sick of it
Totally agree.

People can question him but why would he not care that he’s invested money in something that isn’t working?

He won’t like what he’s seeing but I do think it’s getting to the point where he needs to do something about it.

Because he can make a profit on flogging young promising players rather than having to spend the money needed to get us competitive in a division or several divisions higher. Keep costs to the absolute minimum and that’s a much easier way to protect his investment.

He’s not done that though has he?

He’s invested in the training ground and stadium.

I think it’s fair to question him we are in a bad position and Johnson is another in a long list of poor appointments. Reminds me of Coleman talks a great game but does not deliver on the pitch. We are sleepwalking to the playoffs at best.

I’d love to know where his breaking point is regarding Johnson.

There was a rumour that had we lost to Ipswich the trigger would have been pulled.

He witnessed last nights debacle - will that be enough or does he wait for another horror show at Cambridge to finally concede this ‘project’ needs tinkering with?

I think the club needs to come out an clarify the situation internally at the club. We deserve to know what's going on and the reality is no one has a clue. If we believe what the more financially savvy people say on here, KLD can just spend money and see if the chancers match his input or have shares dissolved (or similar, whatever), is there something in the agreement restricting him? We hardly broke the bank in the summer. What are the actual shareholding percentages etc? If they clarify this it will put some at rest.

Then we have the other problem. Its all well and good saying we have a long term plan, but with a manager who has no track record of ever having a team promoted, is it really going to work? We are in an alarming run of form. If the performances were better and suggested we would turn it around, great, but they are getting worse. LJ continually talks rubbish and seems way put of his depth. People like to argue he talks the truth. I disagree as if he did he would identify the issues he talks about and improve the team, but he doesn't change a thing. For me, he has to go now. There are some good managers out of work, the argument is a good manager, not money, will get you out of league one. Why not try make a statement and approach a manager with a better pedigree and get all the fans back on side, together? We are 1/3 through the season and in my opinion, far too many people are not concerned enough.

The reality is we deserve to be where we are, but also don't forget we have never spent more than 6 consecutive seasons outside of the top flight. This is not and should not be acceptable for us. The longer we spend in this division we become more a part of the furniture. The academy is at risk of no longer being cat A, which will affect us massively. Crowds will get even smaller. Income is already dwindling. We cannot allow ourselves to become a league 1 standard club. Even if the team already is. Maybe after the chancers being in charge we just have more people who believe in KLD so are more willing to accept shirt term mediocrity, where the plan will have us go up stronger in time. Personally, I think that mindset is dangerous and the signs are there we will suffer more. We need to go up ASAP and then start our long term plan in the championship.

Alarm bells should have been ringing the minute poyet turned to job down.
Wasn’t it because he doesn’t want to work with a DOF?

Why do they have to clarify anything?

firstly, that shows their cards and means any negotiation with any other manager would be harder/more expensive. Secondly, at the end of the day, it’s got bugger all to do with anyone.

I’m all for getting rid of the school PE teacher, but not at all sure what the alternative is.

Not even convinced he exists. Think it's just an actor who sometimes makes an appearance at youth games.

Whoever he is, he doesn't actually speak or have any sort of profile
Good. Short regularly used his media appearances to manipulate the fan base.

the thing is, Simon Jordan, whatever age he was had actually worked very successfully in business before going into football. KLD has never worked a day in his life really. People talk about he studied football at Uni, he flunked out after one year of a degree at Leeds Beckett univeristy in sporsts management, and flunked out of another course at some sort of sports academy after another year. Being chairman of SAFC is literally the first time he has ever worked.
Again easily attained information that KLD flunked out of his sports management course at university after a year, yeh dead easy to find that, do one Charlie.

He was rarely in the media like if ever was Short.

He bought some fans in London a curry though once and enjoyed about 3 years of widespread adulation for it
I'd honestly owners keep out of the media for the most part. They're only going to say what they want to say. Focus on what they say, not do.

Because we've been given nothing but shit from the precious regime, yet it still seems like they have an input. The fans are up in arms, all at each others necks. Of course they don't have to, but they need to get us all on side, together. If they have nothing to hide then why not? At the end of the day the club wouldn't exist without the fans.

Hahaha. The PE teacher sums him up brilliantly. I honestly think our expectations have been lowered so much. If we have money like we believe KLD has, why rely on someone out of work? Critchley was mentioned on another thread. Why not him? I'm sure a lot more people would be more acceptable to buy into the long term plan.
