To me like if Donald and Co went back to Short when they found out some hidden things, I’d also say KLD Wil be going back about the Alvarez outcome. A couple of people have said about them wanting an appointment so maybe that’s true but if a club in trouble I was about to buy just got a massive bill I’d be back on the phone
Hopefully it's nothing as worrying as that - but I'm certain that it is not 'done' and that the club are staging some sort of theatre performance. Aside from the fact that it would have leaked and been all over the press if that were the case, there is simply no reason why the club would have a piece of news that is desperately longed for by a demoralised fanbase and choose to keep it up their cuff because of a couple of mid-tier appointments. There is no benefit to doing so that isn't dwarfed by the benefit of making it official.

im much better at it than CM and SD..they were stupid enough to buy a loss making football club.
im certainly an safc fan and from kildare originally.
Yep a loss making football club that have been setback years by your mates or you and your mates, gross mis management, lack of money invested, 15,16 year old’s sold, so don’t give it poor good people, out of the goodness of there hearts they bought poor little Sunderland FC.
They bought us with the clubs money.
As if they did everyone a favour.
They came for one reason to make money, so sling your hook.

Beyond belief. Doh! 🙈
KLD just finishing his fish, chips and mushy peas at Bob’s in Shiney Row as Jim R looks in through the window screaming “But Bob don’t you love me any more?”.
At the bottom of the garden Derek McInnes and Paul Ince are singing the Yvonne Fair classic “It should’ve been me”......😁
Where is Bob's in Shiney mate,

we can thank Ellis for this and the EFL for ratifying a purchase wherby the owners are skint dont have the clout to take us forward and used the clubs money and a shareholders bank statement who invested a paltry amount, i wish they would all just fucccckkkkkkkkkkk off

What was said that like?

He was trying to take the piss our fans because apparently we all think our young players will be/should be playing for england by the time they are 22 but he couldn't provide a link to anyone saying this.

He was then giving @Ashley In!! shit saying he wants all our players to fail.

I pointed out the only person touting players for England was him when we signed Matthews and he kept comparing him to Pope 'a future England keeper' opposed to one of the hundreds of league 1 keepers whose careers never amounted to anything.

He said I made it all up so I posted a link to the Matthews thread where he made the comparisons, posted a link to him slating our fans for thinking all players should be playing for england by 22, and posted a link to him telling everyone that De Bock was a world cup semi finalist with Belgium and advised him he might be better off not accusing people of making things up when he's been doing just that.

Following those links posted he just kept demanding a link to what had already been linked over and over before repeatedly trying to convince himself I'd had a mare by pointing out his hypocrisy in which he ultimately ended up resorting to emoji's.

He does it with everything though. Jay Spearing is the next Gerard, Matthews is the next Pope, Parkinson is the next Farke etc etc. Essentially gas lighting.

There's no way he's Tom Sloanes, mind. All of that is classic Bagpuss behaviour:lol:

Something not right here. A month on and nothing other than a few soundbites from the manager on the progress of the deal, who in truth probably knows very little. More this goes on, the more likely it is to fall through and can't help but feel that Alvarez ruling has thrown a curveball in.

If the club are purposely delaying this until the end of the window it doesn't exactly bode well for what is to come mind. I understand this will not go down well with the uber positive posters mind.
There's no way that's what is happening, mind. There is absolutely no need to do it. I have no idea what the hold-up is - or even if there is a 'hold-up' as such. The only reason it hasn't been completed is that all necessary things haven't been done yet.

I mean I know how daft that sounds but that's the truth. We're not withholding stuff to stage-manage a takeover completion after the transfer window. What would be the point?
So the new owner isn't deemed as not backing the manager in January when we really need it? Maybe KLD doesn't want to put in this window and he wants a fresh start from the summer with proper planning in place?
