His father was French, his mother is Russian, and the family have lived in Switzerland for decades. Your choice. For residency and tax purposes, he's Swiss (if his advisers are remotely competent). When the CH filings happen, his nationality will be revealed. However, dual nationals can choose what to use; Ellis Short was disclosed as Irish.
Interestingly Juan Sartori is listed as Swiss at CH for Madrox yet Uruguayan for Sunderland Limited.

Yep he is on the list. An interesting way of saying "it looks like you were right"

Basic logic though right 😁
Aye marra. The fact that noted scoop merchant Alan Nixon knows it's already done but has inexplicably refused to write an article about it is confirmed beyond any doubt by those tenuously connected tweets. You must spend a fortune on pyramid schemes

Haha fair play mate 😁
I really have no worries about the deal. I’m sure it’s imminent. However, overwhelmingly the most likely explanation for it not having been announced yet is that it isn’t completely done yet. Internet itks have been claiming its all done for a week now. That it hasn’t therefore leaked by now simply confirms that it isn’t actually done as there’s no way that so many who claim knowledge could ‘know’ without the press writing it up. What’s more likely is that completion is a formality and the leakers are socialising that ‘it’s done’ to convey their confidence that there are only low level procedural items left to close that they consider to pose no risk. Holding off to manipulate a transfer market (like the fact that we’re being taken over isn’t public knowledge) or to fill mid-level positions make no practical sense whatsoever. The only note of caution I hold is that itks were saying it was done when FPP were looking to buy us - so I won’t fully relax till the announcement is made (although the club statements thus far put us beyond that stage).

So you’re suggesting that the deal is not being announced until the current transfer window closes?

This contradicts Lee Johnson saying recently that he expects a busy end to the window does it not?

Whilst no one expects a flurry of activity whilst Covid and empty stadiums remains a worrying backdrop, for Sunderland not to bring in another couple of players, primarily a striker as one of them, would be worrying if there is a real desire to get out of this backwater league this season.
NO i am not saying we will not have players in im saying do not expect KLD the real one not the one off here, to announce any big spending until the next 2 have gone.
and if they do come off the wage bill he MIGHT buy on Sunday or Monday. imho

I presume you mean Grigg being one of the 2, Johnson has said he's not letting him go until someone else comes in.
