I don't know why it hasn't been announced yet, I'm sure we will find out when it does.
As for explaining to you why our new owner will be better than the current I really can't be bothered to waste my time.
That's isn't because I can't as anyone with half a brain could quite easily explain to you why.
The fact you've asked such a stupid question tells me you probably won't understand.
I don't know you so don't actually know anything about you but you seem like the sort of person who when the don't get want they want when they want they spit their dummy out.

I mean it’s pretty clear the new owners would be have to be exceptionally shit to be worse than the current ones and I don’t for a second think they will be.

I’m just playing devils advocate and trying to ask the questions that we probably should’ve when the current clusterfuck took over.

I, like many, bought into the lies and bullshit that the current regime span. I don’t want to have blind optimism again.

I’d have probably said that it would be impossible to have a worse owner than Short (appointing Bain, wasting a fuck ton of money etc), but that happened.

As you’ve said you don’t actually know me so keeping the conversation on SAFC and the ownership situation would be good.

So because another poster has said something it must be true? Unless I’m completely missing the point and he actually is KLD, then I’ll reserve my optimism until I see results.
One poster? Get a grip man it's been numerous posters who were doubted with there info from the beginning and turned out to be correct On both forums , Alan nixon, the guardian the Times, numerous local journalists, dave Jones this week confirming in a video it will happen , and the new owner himself leaving an official statement on the club website giving us an insight to his plans

But aye its all bullshit mate proper scooby do stuff

It's hard to imagine worse owners than Donald and Charlie .perhaps Wigan might be in for a shout. It does highlight the terrible job the folk running the fit and proper person test at the efl did ..as both sets of owners should never have been passed to own a stall in a fekking market....wait a minute what was rodders role in a previous life ........I smell a rat eating a fish supper.

Your now on track
So you’re suggesting that the deal is not being announced until the current transfer window closes?

This contradicts Lee Johnson saying recently that he expects a busy end to the window does it not?

Whilst no one expects a flurry of activity whilst Covid and empty stadiums remains a worrying backdrop, for Sunderland not to bring in another couple of players, primarily a striker as one of them, would be worrying if there is a real desire to get out of this backwater league this season.

I'm my opinion, I don't think the take over will make much difference to our transfer activity as the salary cap and FFP limit what we can do this window. It may make a difference to what other clubs ask for in way of fees! I think our progress will be a slow process rather than a quick fix. We will bring players in though.

Maybe both are true? It's done but won't be announced yet in case that causes fees to be inflated if known?

He's not even French is he? Isn't he from Switzerland?

His father was French, his mother is Russian, and the family have lived in Switzerland for decades. Your choice. For residency and tax purposes, he's Swiss (if his advisers are remotely competent). When the CH filings happen, his nationality will be revealed. However, dual nationals can choose what to use; Ellis Short was disclosed as Irish.
