He spent money on Grigg in his first January transfer window> Every window after that, there was a potential takeover that prevented us from making any real moves

Yea, fair enough. I'd argue breaking the transfer record as well as giving Leadbitter and McGeady 16k contracts is paying out far too much for this division.

Not to mention Baldwin and co.. For me, we have spent too much.

well he definitly told lies publcally as safc manager

I'm not sure what Ross would have to gain by saying he was dealing with Campbell for transfers for most of the summer, Campbell himself has also confirmed this. Unless he was covering for the absolute shambles of the recruitment team and trying to take some heat off them?

In terms of him saying he had final say then it becoming clear he didn't, I think that was pretty obvious from day one. I'm not convinced he knew about Baldwin, Wyke and some others we brought in at that time. Maguire certainly seemed to be a signing from the owners too.

No we havnt, nowhere near but because you don't know what's happening just talk shit, when did the club announce any other deal was at the EFL, they havmt so we havnt been here before and the fact tin solider likes your post says it all

It would appear I’ve touched a nerve. The club said in may or something that we were in a period of exclusivity with someone yet didn’t announce anything until December. Then nothing since. Nothing submitted to the EFL takes this long.

We can still buy players though. We can sell if we wish, and bring in players. Young players with talent but a lot to prove. They wouldn't be earning the average wage at the moment so would fit in well
We cant buy many players without getting rid of some first. And there wont be many takers for the players we want rid of. Under 21 players wohld be good, but they need to be good enough and ready to go

So after the first quote He could have been fucked over and changed his mind?
he said the first qote many times...he even sad t about ill grigg..when we know it wasnt rally true.

well campbell was a fantasist who hadnt the money to buy the equivalent of a non league team-therefore anythng he says has no value.
well Maguire i think you are right on..generally ross ddnt knoww any players n england (his phrase)

No. Once someone has said a thing, that thing stays like that forever and any deviation from said things is just nasty lies.

if he said them many times, surely you can direct us towards where he said it?

Let's be honest, how many managers would, and indeed have, came out and said 'nope that signing has nothing to do with me, certainly not at that price!' There's a bit of diplomacy involved.
lots of managers talk about how tranfers are run by a wider team includng them..because in this era they always are...scouts drectprs of football etc. work with manageers to sgn players..
i mean not in the little leagues where ross was..but in englan they do..

I wouldn't have expected him to have a great deal of knowledge on EFL players either to be fair, the move didn't exactly seem like it had been set up for some time and was just waiting for the takeover to be confirmed.
