Would removing and capping off a sink cost much? Would just be a short (2 metres or so) bench with no corners or cut outs going back in.
Plumbers job but some push fit ends would be easy to fit.

Maybe a daft question but should it be easy enough to do without damaging the tiles?
I’m no expert but I’d run a knife / sharp implement along where the tiles and bench meet to break any deal and then pull it out towards you rather than upwards and you should be ok.
Depends how tight to the tiles it is. If you pull it straight forward after cutting the silicone away and scraping any adhesive out. Should be alright. Unless it’s got a laminate upstand between the worktop and the tiles.
