Kissing automatic promotion goodbye

Would another season in league 1 be a compete catastrophe? If we lost in the play off final or example, hopefully win the checkertrade.
Ross has done a very good job in the circumstances and he’s only had one summer transfer window. His squad next season and if the worst happens and we don’t go up I think we’d be in a position to win the league quite comfortably next season, and maybe defend the CT too

We have only been beaten once this season. A bit more mobility up front and we will piss promotion.

This is SD's biggest test so far. Everything he's done so far has been positive and good for the club. He's got most of the fans on board and they have responded in numbers. He cannot rely on that indefinitely if the club fails to address its issues on the pitch in terms of squad and JR in terms of performance. A few days left and the 2 additions which have been in the public domain for a while aren't over the line yet. The pressure that comes with a club our 'size' in this league will test SD and he'll soon realise that social media PR will backfire dramatically if we fall away. I do think we'll get to Wembley this season not sure whether that'll be in cup or playoffs. Don't think we'll be automatically promoted the way we are playing at the moment. Those games in hand come too quickly together for me ! Huge drain on a team that hasn't looked full of running for a while.

I agree with that, in general, and think we need the boost of some new players.

People are surprised we're interested in Leadbitter but rotating similar players, especially in midfield, might be what we need.

Honeyman, Gooch and McGeady need to play to their capabilities and we'll win games.

However, if we don't bring in a striker, plus another on loan, I'd be equally surprised, misinformed and worried.

They are higher than us. They have more points than us. They have won 3 more games than us. They have drawn far less than us. If we are as good as anyone why haven't we done better against then?
Scored 7 more goals than you, conceded one less goal than you, and as you keep banging on about played 2 games more than you!

Yes it does. Simple. We are doing far better than I thought we would (and that is 20th or 19th at a push) and that the play-offs is the very best I thought we could do. I never ones thought we were in with a chance of automatic promotion.

Me also but the squad we have I believe is good enough to get us up automatic, the loss of Maja needs immediate replacement to make sure the goals keep coming.
What I’m surprised at is how we don’t dominate games, compared to our opposition.

Playing like for like midfielders who sit, needs to change, this isn’t a good league we ain’t a good team but , good enough to get promoted, if the team selection and tactics are sorted.

Not having a go at JR he’s learning and is as good as we will get, hopefully a future superstar manager, just not yet.

Why? Aren't they as much entitled to a view as those who always try to take everything and twist it into something positive even when there is little to nothing positive to make from it? The sort of people who would see those homes on cliff tops washed away through cliff erosion and say and think "This means more beach for the rest us to enjoy".
Of course they’re entitled to their view as I am thinking they’re a set of negative boring bastards.
Panicking because we’ve dropped to 5th and are heading for the play offs even though we never played yesterday, you’d think we had and got beat.

So at best you thought we'd finish near the bottom but also near the top. Ok understood :D

Luton salvaged a point from a Black Swan goal that I haven’t seen from any other club this campaign. (Other than us). We will be fine after this run of matches vs the bottom half.

Edit: Scunthorpe

A lot of people seem to think 'little old Luton' & 'little old Barnsley' will fall away but for me they seem to be getting stronger & undoubtedly play the better football. Massive few days for us in the transfer market.
Not sure what you’ve seen from either of those to suggest they play better football mind. Barnsley in particular were shite up here. We played them off the park, they piled the pressure on after we sat back after going 3-0 up, we then killed the game off with an excellent counter attack. Luton looked dreadful when we actually put pressure on them aswell. Shame we didn’t bother in the 2nd half. When we move the ball quickly on the ground no team has been able to get near us.
