King Crimson

Try the fact no-one turns out,i went to see Adrian belew at The Sage it was the highlight of a week long "guitar festival"..there was no more than 30 of us in the big main room! fkn embarrassing,Peter gabriel at newcastle few months back, liverpool etc 5000 people,Newcastle not even a 700!,its well known as a liability attendance wise

Crimson for me is the Belew, levin, bruford set up,earlier are like a different band, each to their own. He's been part of their live set up for ever and is a massive talent
That's been said in other threads about concerts in the north east and is one of the reasons a lot of bands miss it out :(.

My question was a bit confusing
is it just the same show we saw last year ? songs wise etc[/QUOTE]

They did more Wetton song stuff on the first leg, experimenting with Discipline-era too - who knows what they’ll be doing

February 23rd 1969. ‘Change Is’ nightclub in Newcastle. (An occasional haunt of mine in my youth). King Crimson’s first ever gig. Fact.

Played a week long residency.

Iirc the club was owned by Bob Monkhouse.
