Apparently close to agreeing a new contract. Not sure about him tbh but hopefully gets a chance to prove his worth along with the other young players.
Even if he does sign aa contract he will be miles behind everyone else in terms of fitness and match fitness, he's had no pre season

I've lost track, what route are we going down this week is it a) Our U23s are a disgrace, Donald has gutted them don't blame any young player for wanting to leave, especially with Parkinson refusing to give youth a chance. Or b) f***ing disgrace he's taken this long to agree a new deal, shocking attitude, bin him off.

I’d go down the lucky to get a contract at all route given he has achieved the grand sum of bot all in his time here.

If he signs, hopefully he can do something.

How nice of him to sign a contract. He's shown he's committed to the cause, finally signing after all these months.

Never in doubt I'm sure.

He will need to work his bollocks off to get back into the fringes of the first team squad with the likes of Diamond and Neil proving what they can do in preseason.

Further back in the pecking order compared to where he could have been if he didn’t let his agent make promises that he didn’t deliver.

Scored the last time he played didn’t he? Has pace as well, which we could do with up top.

Get him involved.

Aye. Scored against Coventry and then wasn't given a chance whilst the people who are now crying about how bad he is were wanting him in the team.

Terrible news.

He's f***ing shit, has a f***ing shit attitude, and will only be coming back because not another team in the world wants to sign him because he is f***ing shit with a f***ing shit attitude.

The gamble in offering him a contract, only to make sure we received compensation when he moved on, is another gamble that has backfired. We should have withdrawn the offer months ago.

It’s not as black and white as that is it. Plenty players being touted around in a pamphlet to other clubs who we’ve actively tried to sell in instead of offering contracts. Others who’ve gotten offers from big clubs and had their heads turned. And one bloke who’s been offered a contract but decided to effectively go awol in pursuit of a nonexistent move elsewhere, missed a whole preseason in the process and who no one seems to have any interest in.

Neil and Diamond are better in that position and will be more prepared to play with a pre season. Good luck to him to prove me wrong and get into the first team, but he has dropped down the queue now.

We will sign him, pay his wages for another 3 years, he won't be used anywhere bar the 23s, odd checkertrade / cup games and be released.

I agree with a) and b) - the options are not mutually exclusive

Has done nothing of note yet but neither had Maja at age 20. Hopefully he's committed and really kicks on this season.
