Not for 1 minute thinking he is in Maja's class, but how many people on here thought Josh was the business before he started playing in League 1?

I’m not Benji’s biggest fan, but I’m happy he’s signed.

A lot of people can’t fathom that just because a lad hasn’t shown his potential in 90 minutes, doesn’t mean he’s shite. People are too quick to make judgment on young players, hence now Dan Neil is our messiah and Kimpioka worse than shite.

I like what’s happening off the pitch at the moment with lads getting contracts and us attempting to rebuild the 23’s, but it’s the gaffer picking Wyke and some other questionable decisions that is putting me off.

Good luck to Parky.

In fairness to the lad he’s played 400 or so minutes of senior football and scored 3 goals. It hardly a representative sample but a goal every 130 mins or so is massively more productive than his more senior peers. Only played 53 minutes of league one football and has a goal. He’s worth a crack imo.

Obviously didn’t get a better contract so decided to stay.
not at all bothered by this. No heart or commitment.
shit at football also.

Nowt wrong with that.
He thinks he's better than a reserve player in league 1.
He probably is
It was his own doing being in the reserves, could have been in the first team last season if he’d have just signed a deal instead of acting like billy big bollocks when he’d done the square route of fuck all to deserve a move.

Chief scout job beckons

Course we need pace, but you also need an end product. Could be the fastest footballer in the world, however if you can’t score/cross/pass then waste of time.
We have slow players with all those 'attributes', he can have an impact on a game purely because of his pace, you don't need to chop down slow players with little ball control or tricks, the quick ones give you problems.

Eh how’s he got no commitment?

You do know your idol Luke o nien would fuck off in a second if he got a better offer

Every footballer in the country would

Best case scenario he is coming to the end of his adolescent awkwardness phase and his motor skills and coordination will improve over the next year. Worst case scenario is that it doesn’t improve and he remains uncoordinated and his development is stunted.

But he would offer much needed difference off the bench at the minute. Pace and unpredictability. Exuberance against tired legs.

But will Parky break type and give youth a chance? Nope I don’t think he will.

Look at the way the club has treated other young players, letting them tread water in the u23's rather than loaning them out and getting games. Look at Mumba, lad signed a new contract then was basically forgotten but for a token gesture last minute loan to Shields. Ethan Robson, treated as a kid until he was about 21. I'm not certain that Benji's only worry was signing for a bigger club.
