Kieran McKenna perfect fit (managerial suggestion)

Think you'll find Leeds fans think they should be fighting for promotion, Leicester fans think they should be, Boro fans think they should be, quite a few others as well. Based on that, why is it if our fans are pissed off we once again don't look like fighting for it but might make the playoffs it makes them Mag like?

We are currently still enduring the worst ever period of the clubs history and we are supposed to be happy because if we aren't we sound like Mags, it's a f***ing bizarre argument.
Not really, we all have different views.

Sunderland haven't achieved anything in 50 years, I think Sunderland are a big club but see how the media constantly pay little attention to their predicament unlike when Villa and others have been in the same position for a lot less time. #

It's still not 'Mag like' to be wanting and expecting us to be better than we are, which is currently the worst run we have ever seen in the clubs history

I think he's an excellent coach but the best coaches don't always make the best managers so it's hard to tell.
There is a litany of ex Man Utd coaches who couldn't make the step up to management succesfully.
Doing well at the moment though.

Given the choice of a new broom or the same one which has had its brush replaced six times and the handle five, I prefer the new broom.

That said, needs to be the right sort. Mogga's a hero down here and rightfully so. I saw him at Mark Venus' daughter's wedding a few weeks ago and he was funny and self-deprecating. I did ask him how he felt things were going at Sunderland and he smiled and said "We're giving it a go" and that was it. Didn't want to embarrass him by asking about relations with the owners, but something he said about "my lot know what they're up to" made me think there may be a bit of "us and them" involved.

He admired Kieran, but then as we were about to go, said "one trick pony" with a grin. We all laughed. But I now wonder what he meant. Still, despite the late draw yesterday, things are still going well.

The only issue with TM is he's at the end of his career and understandably, zero shits given for media duties and all the little corporate shite he and other of that age have to deal with, tedious for them.

I have no problem with that, he didn't go into Football to be a media celebrity. Unlike politicians, who usuaully peak in their 50s and 60s. Football Managers don't.

My issue with his age is that given his long career in the game he doesn't 'react' as well as a younger manager might to any given situation during the match. I suppose that's what his advisors/coaching staff are there for but they ain't the best either.

Proctor is there as he's probably wiling to do the job for noghin as it's his boyhood club, the other lad is part of the previous regime.

Expect all three gone by the start of next season, no offense to those involved, at all.

If KLD is ambitious he will want us pushing for automatic promotion in 2024

Tbf they are answering all the questions asked of them …..2 down at Plymouth who are good at home with 20mins to go and came back to draw…….we wouldnt have done that atm imo

Yeah agree, but i just think they’ll run out of steam, fair chance they could go up in the play offs, but there’s alot of football still to be played

Dodds? He isn't part of the previous regime. He was brought in by speakman.

indeed you are right but he has alrready achived more than many of those who are ex man utd and failed

being better means doing the opposite of what has been done for the past decades..which is thinking too short term and over reacting to things
