Kicking off

Obviously can't say much but there was bother with boro at one of the services then bother outside the away end. Pretty tasty from what I've been told from some of those involved but then again bravado does tend to lead to exaggeration. No need for it either way.

I'm not even going to try to defend the small number of total tools involved.

However to make out that West Ham have a higher proportion of idiot fans than any other team is a load of balls.

I was on Hackney Wick station after the game and there was plenty of Sunderland fans mixed up with us Hammers and not a sniff of trouble.

The issue is because of the ground layout the exits are not segregated in any way which means the stupid and/or drunk pillocks can get very close to the away fans.

I think the only answer for games against Spurs, Chelsea and god forbid a cup tie against Millwall is to keep home fans in for 20 minutes after the game to let the away fans disperse.

the exits aren't segregated at the SOL once you're outside we all mingle and head off in our own separate directions in a much tighter space than you lot have got at your place yet we don't have an issue with folk throwing digs at anyone and everyone.

pathetic excuse.

You walk out a stadium and the cockney bastards were slying people and they got a shock simple as that

There are lots of police around the away end at SOL though. Didn't see any at Olympic Stadium or whatever it's called.

Absolute shit hole of a ground to visit and policed patheticly.
Just recalled walking back toward the coach there was a mouthy cockney clearly goading people shouting some shit about a smaller Noocarsel - a couple of coppers nearby were letting a couple of them do this without a word. Seconds later several plod came running past as there seemed bother up ahead looking round a few hammers were looking to intimidate but found people just ignoring them or telling them to fuck off. As we got to the coaches, some steward advised us to go on the path side rather than the road as there was bother ahead. There was more bother on the path side leading up to an embankment where a few verbals were being exchanged and the coppers had ran to. Including one on horseback which was gannin' crackers.

Around the coaches seemed to be up there with right outside the exits as favoured spots. After what happened with the Boro lads, I noticed there were SAFC surrounding the coaches ensuring supporters got back safely. This couldn't have been arranged as the coppers and stewards couldn't have worked it out. They were too busy videoing all incidents rather than preventing or attending them.

I'd like to think when we asked people to stick together, watch your backs and look out for one another was the reason for this but it had to be said when intimidation was confronted they just didn't want to know. 1-0 to the scarfers! Hurrah.

Sorry mate but not every club has fans waiting outside the away end to confront families...there's no defence and the club and authorities should be held accountable. Every club that's been there this season should make a public complaint to the Premier League to make a stance that they will not allow their supporters to be targeted this way. I feel sorry for you as a genuine fan..but this is archaic at a time in a new showpiece stadium when the experience should be safer and appeal to a broader base of customers. The tourists will soon learn to give it a wide bearth just deserts for the clubs hierarchy in their ivory tower.

Behave man FFS

He was chewing away at me all day yesterday ..... usual routine, no mention of the thread topic, no interest in SAFC or football, just idiotic stalking.

I lap it up because I cut him to pieces every time but it annoys decent posters like yourself.

This thread is embarrassing :lol::lol::lol:

Adults are talking, you obviously didn't go so have no worthwhile input.

People who were there are discussing the situation yet you dimiss them all as embarrassing.

You're a sad case.

'A higher proportion?' No, I'd say your the highest

Do you think if there wasn't police there, that Sunderland fans would be getting stuck into the away fans every week.

I see away fans in shirts walking around outside the SoL almost every week and nobody says anything to them, they're welcomed into the fan zone as well aren't they not that I've ever seen large numbers in there?

Obviously there's police around but I don't think that's the only reason these lads aren't set about, plenty of people still do daft things when there's police about.

Yes I know that.

I think that's his point mate. The police presence is to reassure people and to stop any inkling of bother. We don't realistically need them for games other than derbies but it's nice to have that security whereas West Ham, with their notoriety for bother at the new ground, have next to none.
