Ki to sign next week

He's only played one season in this division.

Don't you smell a rat though Nemo......club record signing and bombed out after one season. No goals from 30 odd appearances and a paltry 3 assists. Swansea fans suggesting that yes, he's technical but lightweight and easily pushed off the ball. Doesn't sound like the description of the man Di Canio identified.....he's being imposed on him.[DOUBLEPOST=1377294727][/DOUBLEPOST]
I think you are fishing but Daglish was ok

Think you may have misunderstood the sentiment of the first line....

Let's see the lad in a Sunderland shirt and being the player that Paolo wants him to be before being underwhelmed or disappointed eh lads? A proper probing CM with great long range passing, two footed and technically sound and without any known long standing injury problems, and still the 'fans' bleat on  I do despair sometimes.

It's always possible, although I suspect the lad has pushed for this one. He looks too good to spend a season sat on their bench. We've nowt much to lose either way so I'm fine with the deal, our loans tend to have been canny of late.

If there is a rabbit away my guess would be it's down to his fitness. Looking at a few clips of him and he appears to have piled some weight on of late.

......fucks sake....it's like a bad dream.

Forgot how many times I've mentioned it
Ki is a very good player who will be a good fit for the deep lying playmaker role

Sounds nothing like the description Paolo gave though....

Couple of weeks in the PDC boot camp and he'll be strong as an ox man........you can turn a chubster into an adonnis easily, I'd be more worried if he was a rake.

I don't think he's our first choice by any means but he's an improvement and coming in with a lot to play for....plus his one year experience in this league is more than most of our new mob.

I think you're deliberately ignoring all the evidence to suit your argument. He's exactly what PDC is looking for, Swansea just didn't use him that way as they had Britton. I don't know if he's the required quality but on paper he should be a good fit.[DOUBLEPOST=1377295576][/DOUBLEPOST]
Can we really afford to have two CM's not contributing a single f***ing goal all season though.
Yep, you're definitely ignoring what people are saying about him just to be contrary. We're not using him as a goalscorer, we will use him to create opportunities.

442 is dead.

As in 1st choice on the transfer front or 1st choice in the team.......surely that's why he wants away from Swansea.

Don't think that's the main role for the playmaker, think he's the one who's supposed to be able to pick out a pass and be composed on the ball

Ki has those attributes

For all those who say Ki is lightweight and had little assists and no goals might want to check Modric's record before leaving Spurs and no I'm not saying Ki is as good as Modric before anyone starts.

How many successful teams (in fact how many teams full stop) have two non-scoring centre-mids....and that's on top of a 11 goal main striker and a 7 goal 2nd striker (last season)...who's going to score the f***ing goals.

Agreed, there are more positives than negatives in this deal and who knows, we may see another through the door before the window closes.

On the transfer front. I think we missed out on Duncan and a couple of others and now we can either spend money on someone we don't really rate or loan Ki and see how he does. Next summer we can either sign him or go after another target should he not prove worth it.[DOUBLEPOST=1377295927][/DOUBLEPOST]

Especially as we'll be less desperate to do so and can afford to walk away from any unrealistic fees.......worst case scenario we end up with two players scrapping it out for a place.
