so what do you suggest? You obviously don't agree with improving the team

I suggest we sign on a permanent basis instead of giving other teams players match time.

Evans
Welbeck
Rose
All first team players since they played for us.

No doubt this Ki lad will return to Swansea and become a first teamer. We're like a loanee feeder club.

Will offer 100x more than Larsson on the ball. Good signing

Another loanee for us to improve then send back leaving us back at square one.

True, but it improves us now in the centre of the park, which is what we need right now. Even if it only buys us some time until January for our recruitment team to get some-one lined up permanently, it's better than only having 2 days to get someone in. He's a good passer of the ball and did score a few for Celtic but was played in a deeper role at Swansea. Hopefully he can get forward a bit more with us and add a goal scoring threat from centre midfield, which will be a bit of a novelty.

We have no devine right to be better than Swansea f***ing City though. I never get embroiled in the whole we're bigger than them argument. As far as im concerned big clubs win things and the rest are just the rest. We have to earn the right to be better than other clubs and so far we haven't.

12 clubs in our league were worse than them last year, as well as every club who played in the League Cup

Few exceptions, those players were for big clubs. Ki if he has a good season may want to sign for us, being a first team player at Swansea will be no massive pull. Also he will be in the final year of his contract. I see no reason how we cant sign Ki as long as we impress him.

Wonder if the thinking is that it might help Ji... presumably they play together at international level...

Don't get me wrong I'm happy we've brought someone in but it's just disappointing he's only a loan.

I would agree permanent signings are preferable, and there's no denying we haven't benefitted long term from those loans.

There's a flip side to that though - those loans also came at times when there were flaws in our side and in our permanent transfer strategy.

Having Evans for season long loans arguably helped us gain and retain Premiership status. Not being able to keep him didn't IMHO affect us as much as hitting the wall with Keane and making bad permanent signings such as Ferdinand and McCartney. (Main problem with Anton was he's only average but cost us £8m and £60k a week.)

Likewise Welbeck. He improved the team while he was here and had we spent the following summer transfer fund better, and dealt with the Bent/Gyan problems better, losing him would have been less of a problem. Likewise Rose.

So the key is for using Ki to be part of a long term strategy of continuously improving the squad. The DoF and technical director need to have permanent targets lined up for positions where we still have gaps/loan players/ players we're hoping to shift, then pounce in the next window.

If the club's management are on their game, then hopefully the question is will Ki improve the squad now? If not, your concerns will be spot on tbf

Totally agree, if we could have made a permanent signing instead of a loan I'd be happier about it myself. I have a sneaky feeling we might get someone in else in permanently for centre mid though. Then again if we don't, it won't be through lack of trying.

He's a #LAD

CELTIC'S Ki Sung-Yueng is keeping fans in the picture - with bizarre phone snaps of himself.
The Parkhead star uploads photos from his iPhone to his Twitter page every day.
As well as wearing funny hats and pulling faces, the crazy 22-year-old South Korean has mocked up pics of himself as a vegetable, a pink flower and a kids' cartoon character.
Ki posts comments and photos from training, cafes, airports and even his bed.
He is nicknamed Kirrard16 on the micro-blogging site - in honour of his hero Steven Gerrard and his 2010 World Cup squad number, 16.
Yesterday, the midfielder superimposed a snap of his face on to a giant yam.
