I'd love him to stay but I'm not getting my hopes up. Last week in August I think we'll have a series of bids for some players that I don't see the club resisting

I think you're right but as somebody has already said on this thread if we don't get our money back keep him. Don't loan him out. He'll be one of the best players in this league.I'd love him to stay but I'm not getting my hopes up. Only seen bits and pieces from training links and the friendly, but he seems to be wanting to get involved and got a smile on his face. His attitude seems different to lens and Kone for e.g. Not getting my hopes up, as I do think ultimately he'll leave. Would be great if he stayed, as he would be our "special" player in that league and would make us so much better with his quality.I'd love him to stay but I'm not getting my hopes up. Problem with that logic is we may have a demotivated player who is on 30k pw ( even after relegation ) reduction who could be destabilizing other players.I think you're right but as somebody has already said on this thread if we don't get our money back keep him. Personally, what he could offer and that spark and creativity he would have over pretty much everything else in that league, he'd be much more valuable to us than "2 decent players". He could literally be the difference from plodders and nearly men, to genuine promotion/top 6 challenge imo. He'll win games for us.Problem with that logic is we may have a demotivated player who is on 30k pw ( even after relegation ) reduction who could be destabilizing other players.
30k would get you 2 decent pub league players with something to prove either on loan or freebies.
Moyes "managed" everything woefully cos he is ####, a charlatan, fraud of a manager.Personally I don't think he blew his first chance. This weight thing was blown out of proportion - he's a stocky guy naturally anyway.
The rabona was the season before last wasnt it? Against West Ham under Sam.
He was woefully, I mean awfully, managed under Moyes (as were most). He looked very decent at points and then would be dropped the next game.
Good player - he will demolish the Championship if he stays. Don't think there is any need to be talking about a 'way back' for him, personally
Seemed pretty motivated against Bury which was the opposite of Kone. What I'd like to happen, Khazri staying and what will happen are two different things. I should think his stock will still be reasonably high especially on the Continent and I do expect him to leave but for the money we'd get, perhaps 3/5 million, I'd keep him.Problem with that logic is we may have a demotivated player who is on 30k pw ( even after relegation ) reduction who could be destabilizing other players.

We paid 9, 3-5m? Joke. No wonder we're 100m+ in debtSeemed pretty motivated against Bury which was the opposite of Kone. And then add the deficit onto the debt.. clever EllisShort will sell the first decent cash offer so I don't expect him to be part of the team going forward.
Compared to honeyman and Gooch the guy could be pele. We are stuck with the latter though
Link to quotes saying he's got offers?Never say never, but the chance of him being here at the end of the transfer window is practically zero. Hasn't his agent pretty much marketed him already?
If he did stay, he'd comfortably be one of the top players in the division.

That's why I'd keep him. I'd try to keep him even if we were offered more than he cost. If he wanted to stay of course. We paid 9, 3-5m? Joke. No wonder we're 100m+ in debt

What f***ing hideous 'journalism'. Nick a load of quotes and chuck them through google translator and straight to print. Not offers but his quotes are fairly indicative of what's to come.
He doesn't want to be here. He'll get shipped.

1, He WAS fat when he returned from preseason, hence the thread title. You can't deny that. Everybody could blatantly see it.
2, That (attempted) rabona was all about him showboating. He didn't care that it was the 87th minute and we were losing 1-0 pushing for the equaliser. That's not playing for the team, that's playing for yourself.
That being said, he looked good tonight, albeit against Bury. Which is why I made the thread. He set up Maja's first with a solid run and perfect pass, then helped create Maja's 2nd by cutting in from the left and dribbling around 3 Bury players.
He has great technical abilities imo, but his attitude so far has been "Me, Me, Me". I'm hoping he's come to his senses tbh.
For the whole season or just the last few games?
