If he stays he will be one of the best if not 'the' best player in this league but If he goes we'll hopefully be able to reinvest the money.
So long as we can afford him i wouldn't be looking to loan him out as he hasn't kicked up a fuss like others and it would be more beneficial to keep him. I would like to see him play the am role in a 4231 with 2 pacy wingers who can switch wings. Something like this;

******Gradel Khazri McGeady
**************Hugill

Not sure we could afford all of those but it would be a very strong attack at this level.

I'm usually the first to slate the fella.

After last season, his weight gain, shooting from corners and THAT rabona I thought there was no way back for him.

Credit where it's due... he put in a good shift tonight (judging by the highlights on safc.com). He looked dangerous going forward, and more importantly, played other people in instead of trying to steal the show for himself. His work and assist for Maja's first goal was brilliant, and his skills on the left wing led to Maja's 2nd, via a cross from Hume.

Is there any way back for the lad or is the writing on the wall? He obviously has great technical ability and could be an asset for us.

It's a clean slate for the players imo, but does Whabi deserve a 2nd chance (based on this one friendly game  )?
Fat bloke

Personally I don't think he blew his first chance. This weight thing was blown out of proportion - he's a stocky guy naturally anyway.

The rabona was the season before last wasnt it? Against West Ham under Sam.

He was woefully, I mean awfully, managed under Moyes (as were most). He looked very decent at points and then would be dropped the next game.

Good player - he will demolish the Championship if he stays. Don't think there is any need to be talking about a 'way back' for him, personally
Good post for once.

He was in hanahana tonight. Had three glasses of wine. PITCHFORKS OUT LADS.

I get the weight thing he is naturally stocky but cane back last pre season a disgrace. However for the energy vampire to constantly select sheer dross ahead of him was nothing short of criminal what on earth was he thinking. He is a good player and should have been selected more frequently and ahead of the likes of Pienaar if he stays he will provide real quality and will be a welcome asset if he leaves nobody can blame him. Moyes man what a cretin.

The SMB has rated him fat and shit. The people doing the sales at SAFC must rate the views of the SMB as they will probably give him away for nowt because he's fat and shit. They'll replace him with someone either...
Old and past it
Free transfer
Championship plodder
Or more likely all of the above, but potentially with a lower BMI. Happy days.

For what its worth he will be one of the best attacking midfielders in the Championship imho. A complete enigma but if Grayson puts faith in him he will have a field day imho.
