Good work rate but he's a bit of a fanny in the tackle, still don't understand Moyes not using him, he basically played him when he had no choice and not many players with their soft egos will respond well to that

I mean we can blame Moyes to an extent but he was also woeful at times last season. Imo he didn't deserve a start, but with other players failing we may as well have given him more games.
He should be excellent at this level if he can be arsed.
Side note, but has he ever had a good game (competitive) away from home? I really can't remember one.
The Big Sam version of Khazri was all-action. He was like Steed on speed but with slightly less skill.
TRUE , just makes it all the more staggering that moyes saw fit to freeze him out and drop him b4 the likes of januzai, pienaar, in fact any fucker other than kahzri!!!Probably our best player.
Liverpool away under Sam laid on Defoes equaliser in the 2-2 iirc. Rarely got a game under Moyes; not British enough. He's no World beater but he'd be mustard in this division.I mean we can blame Moyes to an extent but he was also woeful at times last season. so when he loses the ball and never chases back to try and win it back , thats classed as superb workrate ?Yes, he has. His work rate is and always has been superb.
I suppose you're one of those who think he was "fat" too.
aye he is contracted to us. he either plays (hopefully well and he puts the effort in) or we try and get a good fee for him.Personally I don't think he blew his first chance. This weight thing was blown out of proportion - he's a stocky guy naturally anyway.
The rabona was the season before last wasnt it? Against West Ham under Sam.
He was woefully, I mean awfully, managed under Moyes (as were most). He looked very decent at points and then would be dropped the next game.
Good player - he will demolish the Championship if he stays. Don't think there is any need to be talking about a 'way back' for him, personally
Man management....leave it to Da GI'm usually the first to slate the fella.
After last season, his weight gain, shooting from corners and THAT rabona I thought there was no way back for him.
Credit where it's due... he put in a good shift tonight (judging by the highlights on safc.com). He looked dangerous going forward, and more importantly, played other people in instead of trying to steal the show for himself. His work and assist for Maja's first goal was brilliant, and his skills on the left wing led to Maja's 2nd, via a cross from Hume.
Is there any way back for the lad or is the writing on the wall? He obviously has great technical ability and could be an asset for us.
It's a clean slate for the players imo, but does Whabi deserve a 2nd chance (based on this one friendly game)?
I miss Steed![]()
I cant remember many wingers/ attackers renowned for their love of a tackle mind.Good work rate but he's a bit of a fanny in the tackle, still don't understand Moyes not using him, he basically played him when he had no choice and not many players with their soft egos will respond well to that
