Yes, he has. His work rate is and always has been superb.

I suppose you're one of those who think he was "fat" too.
1, He WAS fat when he returned from preseason, hence the thread title. You can't deny that. Everybody could blatantly see it.
2, That (attempted) rabona was all about him showboating. He didn't care that it was the 87th minute and we were losing 1-0 pushing for the equaliser. That's not playing for the team, that's playing for yourself.

That being said, he looked good tonight, albeit against Bury. Which is why I made the thread. He set up Maja's first with a solid run and perfect pass, then helped create Maja's 2nd by cutting in from the left and dribbling around 3 Bury players.

He has great technical abilities imo, but his attitude so far has been "Me, Me, Me". I'm hoping he's come to his senses tbh.

He was a very hard worker under Sam
For the whole season or just the last few games?

Erm for the whole season.

I'm usually the first to slate the fella.

After last season, his weight gain, shooting from corners and THAT rabona I thought there was no way back for him.

Credit where it's due... he put in a good shift tonight (judging by the highlights on safc.com). He looked dangerous going forward, and more importantly, played other people in instead of trying to steal the show for himself. His work and assist for Maja's first goal was brilliant, and his skills on the left wing led to Maja's 2nd, via a cross from Hume.

Is there any way back for the lad or is the writing on the wall? He obviously has great technical ability and could be an asset for us.

It's a clean slate for the players imo, but does Whabi deserve a 2nd chance (based on this one friendly game  )?
Amazing how people jumped on the bandwagon that khazri was unfit/overweight based on snide comments from a discredited disrespected inept manager.
The players were onto moyes far earlier than the players and I suspect khazri was targeted as one of those players from the previously successful regime that moyes was never going to be able to emulate.
Khazri was fantastic with sam. As was kone, Kirchoff, Borini, defoe, pva.
In walks moyes and he sucked the passion out of them and then the fans.
Moyes was a pox on our club

Khazri has always worked hard for the team.

The amount of people who have been sucked in by Moyes' propaganda regarding Khazri is ridiculous.
At last
Only utter head the balls would give credibility to anything uttered by mogadon moyes.

Still seething because moyes was found out and you didn't want it to happen.

It was nothing to do with Moyes. Khazri was posting his preseason holiday pics on twitter/instagram and the man had TITS. Flobby, bouncy, fat, actual tits.

Great argument you have there btw. "You don't like Khazri so you must love Moyes". Moyes is a f***ing bellend. I make a thread about Khazri and you keep mentioning Moyes? You mentioned Moyes 6 times in 1 post ffs

It's nothing to do with ET, it's about Khazri's attitude! Fuck me you're dense, kid.

Does he deserve a second chance? He's one of our best players man and should have been played on a regular basis last season. It doesn't take too much understanding of the game to realise he's a talented player. He wasn't given a sufficient run in the side last season, having to accept 10-15 minute substitute appearances here and there in a side lacking confidence. When Moyes realised his mistake of not playing him, it was all too late.

He's also not fat, it's embarrassing that some of our fans continue to bang on about it. We should be getting behind the lad, hopefully we manage to keep hold of him as we need all the creativity we can get. He's also one of only a few who actually has a go at goal.

Khazri has always worked hard for the team.

Agreed.

I'd love to see him turn into a class player for us I really would. He just needs to sort out his attitude imo.

He's never once suggested he has a bad attitude. He could have kicked off last season when he was dropped. He didn't and always made himself available.

I want to give him the chance without Moyes. He was treat worse than shit last season in the name of adding more 'Britishness' I'd written him off as a being a clown in the same league as Lens and Kone, but maybe not. Hope he stays, would be one of the best players in the division if he does. Maybe last season was just poor management as opposed to Khazri being a prick.

I'm very surprised no-one's come in for him yet. In fairness to the lad, he hasn't really whinged, even when he had more reason to than most.

If he stays, he'll stand out in this division.

Exactly. I was tricked into the idea that he was a 'Kone' type. But when you actually look at the evidence he hasn't done much of anything wrong

When he was managed by Sam he was exciting and effective. Just like he was at Bordeaux, where I watched him many times.

Yes, he came back overweight. That should have been quietly and firmly dealt with instead of being turned into a full blown soap opera by a Moyes seeking any excuse for his own miserable inadequacy.

Watching him last night at Bury reminded me of his Bordeaux and Sam performances.

He harassed the Bury defence when we were off the ball, had some strong attacking runs, played as a team member and was deeply engaged in the second half goals.

We even saw the Khasri corner.

Please, nobody comment on the quality of the opposition. That opposition took the piss out of our senior squad members in the first half, which was a shocking reminder of last season's crap.

Spot on. Well said. Moyes just added Khasri to his pathetic excuse list.

Andy Reid was fat, khazri is not fat

He didn't blow his chance. His first season here he was actually very important in keeping us in the PL. Moyes literally isolated him. He is a good player. He would dominate in the championship. Probably move on though.
He's under contract, and is playing well when picked. If we sell him it should be on our terms, it's not like he's kicking up a fuss, is it?

Personally I don't think he blew his first chance. This weight thing was blown out of proportion - he's a stocky guy naturally anyway.

The rabona was the season before last wasnt it? Against West Ham under Sam.

He was woefully, I mean awfully, managed under Moyes (as were most). He looked very decent at points and then would be dropped the next game.

Good player - he will demolish the Championship if he stays. Don't think there is any need to be talking about a 'way back' for him, personally

I think he was a disgrace last season. Thoroughly disrespected his team mates and us on a number of occasions by not attempting to chase down his player which on at least two occasions it directly cost us s goal - and that was after he'd returned from his break looking like Roland from a Grange Hill. Before then quite the opposite - s good team player. He was correctly dropped my Moyes at the time imho - I actually wanted to goon the field and twat after one game - but maybe he should have had a clear route back in. I'm all for giving people a second chance however but some anti Moyes sentiment is absolving the players personal responsibility and that's bollocks.

Its irrelevant what any of the players were like last year. If he stays hell be one of the best players in the league, no doubt whatsoever that him and Watmore out wide will do some damage to opposition defences this year.
