All over twitter. I really hate causal cricket fans.Who are these people? Get them named.
Aye. There comes a time in all teams where enough is enough. I got sick of lads who would mysteriously be unavailable for games v teams who were at the top end of the league, heart as big as a pea. We've all seen it and when it comes to the boil like it did v Australia in 2013-4 bridges are burnt and there's no going back.He played for England for a decade.
They weren't best mates
Then he started to become more hassle than he is worth. Simple
To be fair, as much as I dislike the prick, we've always heard from the club that he's excellent with the youngsters and always helping and putting his arm around the kids in the squad (and there are times you can see that in the field, too) which is why he's always welcomed back by the club and the city workers who watch T20No fall out with Surrey. He's welcomed back their with open arms from one of the most passionate and respected cricketers to ever wear the 3 lions.
All cricket teams have their bellends in them. No team I've played in didn't have at least 1. And at an international level, England have had Trueman, Boycott, Cork, Swann etc. As a captain and a team, you have to put up with this as long as you can if they're talented enough. When you captain a side, you are very lucky if everyone are good mates and nothing bad happens.
Tbf he was good on his day.Two peas in a pod.
As a spectator I fail to see what's not to like, he's been probably the most brilliant and exhilarating player we've ever had. Root will become our greatest player and is also fantastic but for pure box office KP trumps them all. Never understood why spectators get so upset over wether he's a bellend in dressing room or not as we aren't part of it.
But what was he doing that was so bad? As I've said he won't be the first or last to bad mouth the establishment. All his gripes over IPL and workload has since came to pass. Always remember a Steve Bruce story. He was Captain of Utd and informed that everyone had to wear club attire for an away game. Next day they all turned up suitably attired apart from cantona who was in shirt and jeans. Bruce said to Fergie why does he get to do what he wants. Fergie response was when you can play like him you can do what you want as well.Surely in any team sport they becomes a point where nobody how talented a individual is , that a there behaviour becomes unacceptanble?
Otherwise you basically just letting a talented player do what he wants?

As I've already answered a lot of it will come down to a jealousy and what at the time was the unknown. We'd never had a KP situation before in terms of IPL etc. Also someone like Vaughan may handle a situation differently to someone like Strauss. There was obviously a very powerful 'clique' in dressing room with likes of Swann, Anderson and broad and it's fair to say KP didn't see eye to eye with them and as good as KP was if something was going to give it would be the one rather than the 3.I keep coming back to the same point mate, why would a captain and management team want to get rid of a player who actually increases their chance of winning games?
Any answers ?

Absolutely. He was the one being courted in the IPL for the big bucks whilst the others where ignored. I've no doubt that KP will have reminded them of this as well. Lot of egos in sport and it won't have sat well with some, particularly if it's a bloke they aren't particularly keen on anyway.Jealousy!
Dear God.
It was an unprecedented situation, we'd never had to deal with a KP type situation before and I don't doubt that he'll have been massively vocal about it, he was in the press so I don't doubt he'll have been more so in sanctuary of dressing room. We know what he did regarding Strauss, he shouldn't have done it and he did apologise but as I've said he isn't the first and won't be the last to slag his gaffers off when not getting own way. He also played after that and I'm yet to hear why he why jettisoned after ashes, not one person has said what he did that was so awful so I just can't imagine it could've been that bad or else it would've leaked out.Got to say mind international cricket players don't get dropped because of what you stated above in my mind there must have been a lot of reasons over a long period of time
Didn't Strauss call him a 'cúnt' and it was broadcast across asia / Australia while UK where on a commercial break. KP was never getting a reprieve when Strauss got the top job.
