Keane Lewis Potter

We’ve bought 2 so far this summer.

This general escalating group panic is becoming nauseating. I’m sure we’ll buy a third, please can everyone calm down
January and it’s 2 unknown strikers who have never kicked a ball in the championship

and one who won’t sign a contact

who is going to score the 35 goals shared between simms, Stewart and Amad ?

rigg?

The fans have to show patience, the problem is, we're not used to a development approach, but we better get used to it sharpish. It's the way forward.

People are moaning on, I thought Ekwah, Bellingham and Neil looked class at the weekend and they're still only kids, in a few years time they are going to be top players.
This is true and they did, I think people are just frustrated cos with a decent striker it all comes together. Get that, win a couple, everyone's happy again.

I know this isn't something we'd do, but imagine a diamond with those three and Evans as the anchor, that would be formidable for clubs to come up against.

Why would you doubt it? We managed to sign a £30m player on loan from Man Utd last season.

They're at very different development stages and squad standing.

Lewis Potter has little to gain from the loan given his age and championship experience, Amad and Man U had a huge amount.

Mate it could be a top PL midfield in a few years time if they continue to improve the way they are.
Are you seriously comparing the two ?

He is right though. It was the usual ill thought out rubbish, "he's too small", "he's not strong enough", "he's easily pushed off the ball."

Semedo has the attributes to be a top player, people making a decision that he isn't up to it after one game (less than 60 mins) is a disgrace actually.

Stop being so patronising. We haven’t bought a striker Who can go straight into the first team since LND and even he was introduced slowly. Why should anyone believe it’s going to happen now?
bevause we have bought a striker to go into the first team..he played saturday and wears no.9
we also had defoe up here..he was for the first team.
they bought djaku for the first team, turns out he was shite.

so we know they are happy to sign first team strikers for money

3 fantastic players, 2 of which have developed to the point they can play 90 minutes consistently well. The other will do in time. Big difference is they can all be subbed off, they don’t have the pressure of scoring goals, they don’t have 6ft 6 experienced defenders out muscling them and kicking them up in the air from behind. I could go on and on. There is a reason why strikers, cost more to buy, cost more to pay and inevitably have to be a bit older and more physically developed to be successful.
How many strikers start off on the flank or as a number 10 or in a twin before they graduate to leading the line ... e.g Henry, Ronaldo and Rooney
To play Hemir up there week in week out is not fair on him, Mowbray knows it why can’t everyone else see it?

My eyes tell me he isnt ready. Cheers

He's played one game. He scored in every preseason game so it's not like he didn't do well in the friendlies before the game.

So at this point, you're an idiot.

You may be right in the long run but to give such a definitive opinion with not enough information to go on is what idiots do.

To leave him on an island is not fair to him. Hopefully dack will get up to speed quickly to play with him. Until he does Pritchard has to play

I have not seen one poster say the lad won’t make it. That he is not ready to lead the line for 90 minutes and take on all the on pitch responsibility for the role is surely clear as day... few strikers are at that age. Certainly not one who has not played at this level before. Christ he found the running in pre season hard compared to what he’s used to. The lad needs to be given a chance not burned out before he starts
Given Mowbray thinks the same and its total logic I can’t see the argument

Or Clarke stays and we sign Potter. Unsure why people are mentioning Clarke.
Didn't Lewis potter cost like 20m? We wouldn't be signing someone like that unless we sold our biggest prize. Think he's in and around their first team so wouldn't be letting him go on loan surely.

Not sure how relevant that is, Stewart had never nor had Amad and they did alright. Yes the new guys are young and they need support from a more experienced striker that will hopefully happen in the next few weeks as well as Stewart returning.

I'd like the think Dack will be adding a decent amount of goals from midfield, as well as Clarke, Roberts etc. It can't all be on the strikers.

It’s a load of bollocks mate, OP is online, he’s just started this and not replied to owt for 6 pages. Says it all.
