Karndean - glued or clicked?

Anyone on here an expert in flooring?

Our Maude has decided she wants this stuff laid in the hallway and the lads who we’ve got a quote from have said they can either glue it together or use the click together version. They reckon there’s no difference but my spidey senses are tingling.

Anyone?
Pro's and cons. The click version can be a fraction more forgiving on subfloor prep as it's not adhered direct to it. However should you damage a plank in the future it's much more of a headache to replace than direct stick which you could easily do yourself with a £10 heatgun.

Personally I would go with the direct stick, I'm not a big fan of click although I'm probably a tad biased as it takes me longer to do click.
For context I lay commercial vinyl floors and 99.99% are direct stick.

Don't quite understand how the Karndean brand has convinced everyone to pay 3 times the price of all the other LVT flooring. Its like Karndean is a different product that only they sell, its nonsense.

Put a load of the click stuff down myself a couple of years ago. Took 2 days to do a large L shaped living / dining room, including putting ply over the floorboards to get it (close to) perfectly flat and level. Then the next weekend we did the porch and hallway. 55sqm in total
2 years later, not a single problem with it, its spot on.

Hardest part is cutting to size, the top is so hard its very difficult to get the blade through it - using the score and snap method to get the cleanest possible edge.

Mine was about the same price. Plus underlay and ply of course. About £40 sqm in the end, I'd say. Plus the savings on labour, of course. I'm sure a pro would have done all mine in 2 days rather than 2 of us taking 4 days.

Word of mouth was the reason I got it.
Didn’t even look at others to be honest, had it 10 years so far in the kitchen, dining room and porch.

I remember looking at the kitchen and telling the fitter after he had finished that I didn’t want diamonds, the look on his face was canny mind, then I just smiled.

Both him and the last fitter did cracking jobs with inserts and borders.

Cheers for that - I will always appreciate experts taking time to help a stranger.

Glue it is.

Assume it’s glued. I have amtico which is basically the same and that was all glued on top of a self levelling compound. Did it 4 years ago and good as new. It’s not quite as great on the upstairs where it’s just on boards but it’s still very good and to be fair the company does a 10 year guarantee so I’ve had them out to reglue a couple of corners. Other than that been very impressed and as I say on the bottom floor on top of block and beam and self levelling not a single problem at all

Edit: think it’s a lifetime guarantee actually
