Kaboul in Legion of Light

Nothing our fans love more than having their ego fluffed by the players.
An average player like Borini is worshipped because he fluffs the fans on twitter and has a quirky little celebration.
Providing the players do business on pitch which I think Kaboul did in main when he got a run of games in that's all I care about.
However I'll leave everyone to bask in the little pat on back. ;)

God you're a misery guts.
10 years in the Prem without a relegation, players in good form, and actually loving playing for the club.
We like players like Vito, Kaboul and Borini because they obviously get fired up and inspired by the crowd. Didn't you watch them in that Man City game? Didn't your hairs stand on end? Isn't that what being a fan is all about?

Would you rather they moped around like Rodwell or Winaldjum?

Hopefully next season when we go a goal behind at any point in the season the crowd reacts as it did against Chelsea and not as we've seen so many times before.

I'm not sure what your point is! The atmosphere was something else when we played Chelsea and Everton and this clearly had a huge effect on Kaboul. Kaboul was very good in both games and in my opinion he was giving credit to the fans for spurring on such good performances. He was being honest humble and least of all clever.
The Victorian Wonga Stadium could never generate such an electric atmosphere as the Sol.
Big Sam knows how to coach defenders it's his bread and butter. So when you have capable defenders such as Kaboul and PVA in the ranks it boads very well for the future.
All said and done though I bet your very happy to be a Sunderland supporter at the moment Mrjardine. Just enjoy the moment marra and stop being such a miserable sod.
I actually cried tears of joy at Kaboul's performance against Everton like, it was perfect and he cried tears of joy about the fans and the atmosphere

Which is exactly what should happen but as you say doesn't happen very often.
Have you ever seen My Girl ? the bit where the kid is prodding that hornets nest ?:D

Supporting the club is very much within my DNA as well however my interest in the club comes down to what happens on the pitch, I have no interest in what happens in the stands other than when I feel they are having a negative impact on things which can happen.
My joy comes from picking up 3 points on a Saturday, hoping upon hope for good cup draws and the potential of a trip to wembley, derby days (obviously on hold for a while) and the hope of a exciting signing.
Players come and go and I don't get the whole adoration some recieve, providing they do a good job on pitch I have zero interest in anything else. I have no issue with a lad like Darren Bent as he was great value for us and left for a substantial pay rise which we'd all do if we're honest. It was disappointing to lose him but that's life.

I said Borini was average not Kaboul. Kaboul is a good prem league centre half if can steer clear of injuries

Thanks for responding to my post. However if this is your rationale for supporting Sunderland where nothing off the pitch impacts you why do you come on this board to receive the abuse you seem to attract?

I enjoy football and discussing it. Sunderland are my club so naturally I enjoy discussing them more. The abuse I recieve is totally unwarranted but isn't something I lose any sleep over, plenty of good posters who are capable of having a reasonable debate and discussion.

Thought he wouldn't even join us if there was an earthquake?

He's fast becoming a fan favourite.

I'm not easily impressed, but I can't speak highly enough of his performances since he came back into the team in Feb/Mar? If him & Kone can keep fit next year we have a excellent centre half pairing.
Nah Kone & Subotic partnership for me:cool:

Sorry marra, but that is quite a dickish post. Nee wonder some think you have an agenda.
