Kaboul in Legion of Light

Nothing our fans love more than having their ego fluffed by the players.
An average player like Borini is worshipped because he fluffs the fans on twitter and has a quirky little celebration.
Providing the players do business on pitch which I think Kaboul did in main when he got a run of games in that's all I care about.
However I'll leave everyone to bask in the little pat on back. ;)
If you were at the Chelsea game you would realise what he says is true, too many times we as fans moan or go into our shells when we concede especially to go behind, on that day in particular the backing was phenomenal and I personally appreciate that the players appreciate that we were all in it together, you are entitled to think what you like of course.

Fuck off ya tedious huckle

Indeed, let's see. Personally I can't see us signing any more than 4 or 5 including M'Vila and Yedlin if they come off, of which maybe 1 will cost a few bob, the rest will be punts from abroad, which is to be expected. That is unless we can shift some others, the likes of Jones, Lens etc, fringe players.
I think Sam said he wanted around 4 players not including the Yedders and M'Vila positions . We could sign anything from 4-8 players I think. If a top player becomes available to us that might come at the expense of a couple of players positions. Equally we could Hoover up a couple of bargains on relatively low wages or who have no transfer fee attached.

Chelsea was the game I will always be proud to say I was at and it is the game when for the first time I felt the SoL atmosphere light up like Roker Park. Damn, but I feel great just now, totally proud of what the team did and the fans, who let's face through thin and thin stuck at it. Bring it on, can't wait for next season to see if we can all hold it together and rattle the PL cage a bit  and any that don't like this post can rock off to a mag board  schmokinggggggg

Yeah as predictable as you having a meltdown because I said we'd finish between 16th and 20th back in August!
Fair play there Jards ;) - now what will your prediction be for the forthcoming season. I'm going to throw caution to the wind and allow myself the luxury of believing we are starting to turn the corner. Using your template of 5 places, I'm going for 10th to 15th. I might regret this bullishness:oops:;)

I got the impression from that photo you posted that you quite enjoy having your ego fluffed.

The thing is it wasn't just the players that praised us that day, the ref, the REF, said it was the first time he couldn't hear through his headpiece, Gus Hiddink couldn't praise us highly enough, the newspaper reports couldn't speak highly enough of the crowd. People with no affiliation to Sunderland were absolutely full of positivity about us that day.

I'm not sure what your point is! The atmosphere was something else when we played Chelsea and Everton and this clearly had a huge effect on Kaboul. Kaboul was very good in both games and in my opinion he was giving credit to the fans for spurring on such good performances. He was being honest humble and least of all clever.
The Victorian Wonga Stadium could never generate such an electric atmosphere as the Sol.
Big Sam knows how to coach defenders it's his bread and butter. So when you have capable defenders such as Kaboul and PVA in the ranks it boads very well for the future.
All said and done though I bet your very happy to be a Sunderland supporter at the moment Mrjardine. Just enjoy the moment marra and stop being such a miserable sod.

Do yourself a favour and put him on ignore. It makes the board such a better place.

Goosebumps. Have yourself a like!

Ahhh right. Ok thanks for the heads up marra I will bear it in mind. I haven't got anybody on ignore as of yet.

Thanks Gents!

Never thought this lad could get through the season but a different approach seems to have worked wonders....well done to him

It's hard for us marra with the club being in debt. The risk is we go and get a few 5m players in from France and they flop. But thats the risk every club takes when signing a player. I suppose this season is our opportunity to try and get back on an even keel financially whilst also becoming more competitive
