Just a bit of info I've seen but can't corroborate

I would think if kone signs his contract and jagielka signs then it would mean djilobodji and jakielka are backup with oshea playing when needed, much like wes brown last season, with mcnair learning off them and playing when the team is rotated in either DM or CB

If we sell Kone for £18m, we will probably only see about £14m by the time we have paid him and his agent. If we were then to spend £7m on Jagielka we would have effectively swapped a good player coming into his prime for one which is just about finished and £7m. Surely nobody would think that is a good idea.

I know a very good friend of Jagielka's agent and he knows nothing about any interest from Sunderland. If there was something in it, I'm sure my friend would have known something about it.

Why do people even suggest that our best midfielder would be considered a CB?

Kone is going, so we'll have Papy, Kaboul and O'Shea, with McNair covering CB and CM. Jagielka could be useful maybe at around 3m.
Exactly. McNair is a pure utility player and Kirchoff is a midfielder, so out and out centre backs would be Jagielka, O'Shea, Kaboul and Papy.

Away with ya facts

Not really when we sold bent we insisted on the full amount up front.
As we know city will pay up front for stones we know they have the money.
Assuming of course there is to be a transfer.
Nothing approximating official as yet

Januzaj to be announced Friday/Saturday. Jagielka joining but not as part of the kone deal.
If the bbc gossip is correct he prefers to go abroad on loan. And if he then comes to us instead he may well sulk his time away!

Kirchoff linked to Napoli according to a post on twitter.

Didn't say I was unhappy just be difficult to play them all.

Vito in goal and Defoe up front? I like your style, unconventional but it could work..

Could you define utility player marra.
Someone who is capable of playing a few positions but will hopefully nail down one as the first option. So Djilibodji for example, let's say he becomes a regular at centre back but we know he can fill in at centre mid of needs be. Or McNair at right back but able to cover CB and CM as well. I know where you're coming from like but I don't mean utility player as in they're moving position week to week covering injuries and suspensions etc. My point was that moyes might be trying to cover several positions with each signing given the size of the squad atm
