Morning Hank. Be good.

Morning MK. Hope you have a better day. Chronic pain is an awful thing and as you say it can change your personality. But try to avoid that for the sake of your missus.

Morning all.

More Teams calls and skiving today.

Morning lads. He's struggling this morning. His legs are wobbly and I had to carry him outside and hold him while he had a wee. It's time 😭

Morning marra 😎

Morning Hank, morning all. How are you doing MK. I suffer from a crumbling spine and nerve damage . So I have some idea what you are going through. The morphine works to dull the pain but it never goes away and you have to learn to live with it. The thing that helps me is the love of my caring wife and my four wonderful children. Their love keeps me going. Even on the worst of days a hug and kiss from my little girl brings me so much joy. Also my faith in God helps me too. Walking with two walking sticks and being in pain all the time can change you if you let it. Keep strong my friend and hug your wife and tell her you love her. Love will see you through. After 14years of pain it can be done. God bless. Have a good day everyone.

Morning marra 😎

Thoughts are with you & yours. FWIW I once got our vet to come out at night time, do the deed & take our dog away.
T was in hospital about to give birth to our daughter & I had our 3 yr old son in bed.
If ya want a chat ...... x
Morning young man

Take care mate can emphasise- has 2 little spine ops misel.
As for meds, the mix I was on made me horrendous ( T & others say). One morning T made me a cuppa & went off to work. Got back 8-9 hrs later & asked me if ok etc & if I wanted a cuppa. I responded by saying she’d just made me one - I’d totally lost those hrs ffs

Morning Wakey, thanks mate it's so hard for people to understand nerve pain, ie had 2 c spine ops on c3/4 and c4/5 and one on L4/5 inside 11 months and I dont think my body has recovered yet....

I was on tramadol along with lots of other meds, they almost lead to divorce ...they totally changed me for the worse but I didnt have a scooby...Lyn went to the doctors to get help to stop them as she has my permission to talk about me to them...are you still on medication? I'm waiting for them to insert titanium rods

Good morning Hank, if there is nowt on that will please niknak

Another warm welcome to you all from NN8 and going to get warmer. Mixed news already this morning on the one hand it is sad to hear Bob is struggling, Bec's, so sorry but sending big hugs to help you through it.
Then on the other hand MkM has hopefully started to turn the corner. His team of Mrs MkM, Kris his daughter and help from SFATI who have help him through.
Ha'waaaaaay team MkM.

Changing the subject, l shall be off to the tip shortly to beat the queue, Mrs Sis cooking bacon sarnies and a flask of coffee for breakfast while we wait

Will catch up later, have a great Tuesday and please keep safe

Morning Hank, morning all

Work then BBQ later.

@Mk Mackem sorry to hear your troubles, hopefully meds and then op will sort you out. Nerve pain is indescribable, I remember not being able to move from a bed in a hotel in New York, eventually got up and threw up with pain, throwing up while not being able to move your neck is not a pleasant experience nor a pretty sight, would take me 30 seconds to take a small step, summoning up courage to move and then letting pain subside before next step, can’t imagine having that pain day after day, take care mate.

@becs sorry to hear that, Bob has done you proud keeping you company during shielding, thoughts are with you.

Have a good day, stay safe

I’m waiting for the time to have a major op, Ive put it off for 5 yrs now, guaranteed 6 months min in a wheelchair & at best 50/50 chance of complete success. So I ( along with T’s agreement) have just “managed” it & will do, hence the alternative lifestyle & hols we have & will do as long as poss.
Fuck the cruises that friends have been asking us to do with them, I can do those from a wheelchair ffs.
No particular meds, dropped them. Changed diet, lost weight ( people who know me on here will find that hard to believe 😄), keep as active as I can, try & remember the triggers & just get by with parrots & everyday stuff.
I find staying in one position painful, that’s sitting, standing owt really. Affects my sleeping badly every night

I really dont think gps get how serious it is and the consequences it causes...I couldn't even walk when I woke up on Sunday and yes it makes you vomit on occasions...fingers crossed

Boils my piss that I had to pay £270 to a private pain consultant to get the upgraded meds that I need to be able to cope better....as gps aren't allowed to prescribe them because they are expensive...I've worked for 48 years and paid for privilege to have them....
