Julio Arca - Undr The Cosh

I had it in me head he went to Boro and they more or less went down, but he had a couple of decent mid-table finishes there with them - before they went down.

Love Julio’s accent me

“It was funny” proper northern.
Have only watched part of it so far but there was the occasional word he’d say in a proper Mackem sounding accent. I think it was when he said “so” once, he went from talking in his Argentinian accent to very briefly sounding like he was from Southwick, then straight back to being Argentinian.

Should get him in to talk with our young’uns to help them settle after moving over here so young.

I thought the same. Iirc he mentioned it took about 2 years until he was properly involved in squad conversations/banter etc. due to the language/culture barrier. That was a shock.

Worth noting that when looking at the likes of Bennette, Semedo, Rusyn et al. who all speak little english and have nobody else in the first team that speaks their language. Luckily I think as fans we'll be fairly patient with them anyway.

I always knew Strachan was a little arsehole like. Fancy making the lads run without warming up 'cos they've lost the game man. It's just asking for problems.

Imagine rocking up on a cold Sunday morning, rough as Tarzan's feet, and ya've gotta mark Julio Arca.

Nee Sunday leaguers on here had a game with/against him??

Watched him score from the halfway line against Crook Town for Shields.

Took the piss that game against lads at a higher level than Sunday League, so I can't imagine how good he'd look on a Sunday morning against lads that probably haven't been to kip.
