This is the sort of thing that really gives me hope. If the new owners were chancers pissing about with a few thousand quid they wouldn't be getting people like him on board. That and the amount of mags signing up to this place in a right fettle.

Prepared not to piss my pants for a few weeks yet. Some have gone and dampened their drawers already.

Wonder if he has mustard on his saveloy dips?

What on earth?

Stuffing and/or pease pudding surely? Never any mustard on offer when I was a youngun. Dicksons fine dining now like?

Maybe the whole plan could have been to Get Donald lined up by Charlie and get the due diligence done and ownership of the club in his hands which could be done quickly, then for Sartori to come along and buy the club from them once he's been through the process? If it is I bet Short would be seriously pissed off having cleared the debt for a billionaire to come in with a clean slate

More likely he will join the board as an investor and bring a few quid to the mix if and when we need it.

First visit to Sunderland today.
This is good news, the share issues are also being sorted. This may mean that plans are being put in place for a major move on the club by Sartori. Stadium naming perhaps? UAG Stadium of Light? If it’s this, it could start off small and grow to significant amounts IF we progress through the leagues. The same guy stated that he wanted to take Oxford United to the Premiership a few years back.
Let’s hope eh?

This may put a few fears to bed, hopefully.

People keep asking questions about Donald's wealth, make up of the ownership, hierarchy, etc, only to find they were barking up the wrong tree.

I suspect the eventual set up will negate many of the questions that have been asked on here.

So much is happening and 99% of it was planned months ago.

I've heard that the 'get Rodwell out' campaign will be resolved soon ..... he's in a 'Short situation' whereby he wants himself out as much as the supporters.

The club are keeping the amount of investment close to their chests until payoffs to him and a few others are concluded.

Exciting times for anyone who chooses to allow themselves to embrace it all.

They made it very clear at the time that it just being the two of them initially was entirely down to timing. Trying to imagine this place if we'd been waiting for Sartori to be cleared while Short and Coleman stayed on.

It is all exciting. You have to believe otherwise there is little point in supporting SAFC or, in fact, football in general. It’s the hope etc etc ..
