That’s a fair assessment. He isn’t a premier league striker and there’s no crime in that.defending in the MLS is very bad. Jozy has some skill, proven it time and again against smaller level sides
MLS, Dutch League, CONCACAF no problem, but he just isn´t a top level striker
In English football, I reckon he would be a half decent Championship striker, excellent in League 1, just out of his depth in the Premier League.
Stupid question and I'm not for one minute saying we should bring him back but would he actually look like a player in league 1 with us.
He wasn't really just not anything like good enough for the prem, seemed a canny bloke and kept trying but just didn't have what was needed for the top flight and his confidence just seemed to drain away, led to us getting Defoe which still must be the best swap deal ever mind!Think he would be out of his depth in the Conference.
Sunday league Division 6 , 3 goals a season maybe.
The mere mention of his name brings it all back...a truly awful player.
The best thing that came from his stay with us. If you want to stretch things you could say that without Altidore we would not have had the complete pleasure of Defoe playing for us....so thanks Jozy!......led to us getting Defoe which still must be the best swap deal ever mind!
"we're in league one ffs" iirc, imoScores for fun in shite leagues and can't hack it in the PL.
he was about the same.Danny Graham was far worse as a footballer, and in terms of value for money than Jozy and gets off far too lightly for my liking.
