Captain Rhodes from original Day of the dead has passed away aged 69.

Was weakest of the original trilogy, but he played an absolute c**t brilliantly

Oh man,

Had became a recent fan of that film. You're right that he was brilliant in portraying his character as a full on real dick and psychopath. Captain Rhodes was terrifying.

Also had a very memorable on screen death in how the Zombies pulled him apart. Comical with limited special effects, yet gruesome.

He was 70 though, not 77. His birthday was two days ago.
