Flapped at one ball that went to the far post,pushed two shots back into the danger area and at fault for the goal.

Good performance from Pickford. Absolutely no chance with the goal through a defenders legs. The save of Shaw was a good save in its own right, a couple of good punched clearances. Mind you his distribution was poorer than normal. Some far worse keeping in the division this weekend than from him
Nee way was he at fault for the goal went through minas legs.

Stepped the wrong way just before the shot was hit. Its a habit that he seems to be developing as well, just like Joe Hart did.

Remember being at the 1-1 draw away to Southampton when he came into the team at the last minute due to injury.
We met up with a Southampton fan we know and he said he was very confident as we had a 'rookie' keeper. We all just laughed and told him most of us had wanted Pickford to be the number 1 for months and that he would go onto play for England. I actually think he will break Shiltons record for England appearances.
Ironically he was at fault for the Southampton equaliser but other than that had a great game. He is top class.
He's a product of our academy, a big Sunderland fan and England's undisputed number 1 yet it seems people are desperate to see him fail. He won't but with attitudes like this we probably will continue to.

I remember the mistake. Our squad looked suspect at best but gave a smart performance and unlucky to lose 2-1 at city, and a great relegation-threatened away performance at soton either side of a dreadful game at home to boro.
thought we’d fight despite moyesys interviews and letting some decent players go, we all know what happened next...
gk oddly was a position we’d been okay at, but distribution of pickers was always top level

He’s a very good keeper. He’s not world class and will likely never reach that level, but he’s still a very good keeper.
Can’t think of any other keeper who can give him serious competition to play in goal for England. Butland not much of an option if he’s mid-table championship. Pope maybe?
