Jordan Henderson

I don't agree with the "very limited, ability wise" assessment at all, but even so, the fact that he's not necessarily the most naturally talented but has still got to the pinnacle of the game through sheer hard work and determination makes him even more of a role model in my view like.
Very true.

I don't get the love-in tbh.

I think he has done very well for himself and good luck to him but find him very limited, ability wise.

Average Premiership standard which is still excellent for a local lad.

To me he is the complete opposite of Gascoigne. Limited ability but a fantastic work ethic. Gascoigne had talent beyond belief but no discipline. If I had to chose one to dominate or change a game it would be Gascoigne every time.

Hope Ihe proves me wrong and scores a few against Germany.
If Henderson has “limited” ability god help your assessment on the rest of all professional footballers around the world.
Quite simply an idiotic statement

Rodgers said the reason Liverpool lost the league in 2013, (?) was not because Gerrard slipped v Chelsea, but because JH was suspended for the last few games.
That’s what I thought at the time. To me they seemed to lose the plot when he wasn’t there. Anyone calling him limited knows nothing about football. He drives them on and his range of passing is superb. He has drive and hates losing.

He did get a load of grief in his early stages at Liverpool.

Our football club has got a lot of things wrong over the years, but we should all be immensely proud of the two Jordan's.

One of Sir Bob's legacies in building the academy that produced players of World Class quality (Shame we weren't in a position to keep and build a team round them!)

Also, their families and those at the academy during their time should take huge credit (I know Hendo has gone on record to say how big an influence Bally was)

Got a mate who has supported and followed Liverpool for 50 years. He says Henderson is the best captain he has ever seen, better than Gerrard (as a captain, not as a player). That is fair praise indeed, considering how Gerrard picked up his team by the scruff of the neck against AC Milan to win the Champions' League final.

Bollocks of course he was good. If it was purely hard work every one of us would be a footballer.
Played against him numerous times as a kid and he wasn’t the most talented player in our early academy by a long shot. I’m the year group above him and the most talented between our two years was a lass who went on to play for England, and was probably 6-7 more talented. However, even at that age, he had an incredible work ethic and used to run rings around us, was rather small for his age (about 10-13 years in talking) but was like an annoying fly that never fucked off
He would get a game for most countries to be honest. That's an amazing compliment
He should get a game for most countries. However I don’t think he would as I think a lot of people overlook the value of a workhorse in there, similar to kante in many ways

Was going to say you should have used Fly Spray mate. However it's shite. Covered mesell with 2 cans and I still can't fly!

And sideways when hendo’s in the team, but totally get the lad is a fantastic example to other young players because he has had worked so hard for everything in his career,
But I also keep it real, as I remember games at SOL where he got booed.
So imo some fans need reel back with all the hero worshiping now, as he didn’t get much of that off our fans at the time, that is the truth imo.

Rodgers was saying this to deflect from the fact that he got it horribly wrong against Chelsea when they only needed a draw.
Henderson was good back then but let’s not make it out like he was Liverpool’s driving force in 2014

You're a mag, though. Of course you don't get it.

Surprised Barrymore wasn’t on that video to be honest. Once in PE he came out onto the pitches looking for Bryson. But he ignored Bryson and kept running, nicked the ball off someone flicked it up and volleyed it past me from about forty yards and ran off celebrating like a lunatic

Miss Farra sometimes like even though it stunk of wee and was falling to bits even then.

Better than Emlyn Hughes, Phil Thompson, Alan Hansen, Graeme Souness, Phil Neal, Paul Ince or Tommy Smith ? I think your mate is wrong.

Love Hendog me like, proud that he came from our youth set up and our region too. I would love him to come back to us and take us back to the Premier League one day. I think he would make a good coach/manager too as he seems to have real leadership quality and a football brain.
Sure.

It's all about opinions.
Exactly mate that is what football is about everyone has a slightly different opinion, football is a sport played by humans not robots.

should be first name on team sheet tonight. These are the games he is made for. Phillips had a good first game but has faded. Need big game experienced players now
