They seem to spend well every season but fall away at the important time of the season. I'm not sure if that means that actually they don't spend well on anything other than their forwards where they've got a great record.
I’d question the management choices they’ve made but I think it’s just gradual improvement. Think they’ll do something similar to Brentford. Don’t know if they’re as sharp as them but they’re treading a similar path IMO.
He's looked good every time I've seen him. Strong, powerful, a cracking left foot, holds the ball up well. Everything we'd hope from Wyke.

I've been banging the Clarke-Harris drum for a while now. It seems to have caught on.
He was a stand-out in the data as early as the Grigg signing.
He won't replace Toney but with the spare cash they could tidy up their defence a bit and end up stronger as a result. I think they'd be my bet to win the league next year.

I do also like our business so far as well though.
It’s been alright considering the severe limitations we’ve put ourselves under. I like the centre halves - jury out on the other two though. Need more - or need one of our talented kids to make a breakthrough - to have enough to challenge.

The pace and power that Parkinson was banging on about, before last season's January window, still hasn't been addressed yet. Two transfer windows. I feel the football will be the same as last season. The young lads won't get much of a chance imo. Parkinson just seems the type to constantly go with "seasoned pros".
In fact the team that starts in two weeks will be the same as last season.
I think having no budget makes it nigh on impossible to sign regular goals and pace. People pay for them and we want it for nowt. We paid for goals we didn’t get from Grigg I realise that but the truth is anyone banging them in at the business end will cost a fee. I’m not judging Matthews yet though the other day wasn’t a good omen but it’s the same with keepers. Keep goals out and score them and you win games - we wouldn’t pay the fee for Sarkic by all accounts and we’re looking for strikers on the free who won’t be pacy and guarantee goals. I actually think they make Parkinson’s job hard for him but fans give him the shit. We need some owners that want to invest in success.

We’re not even trying though. In the last three/four windows why haven’t we signed anyone who’s scoring for fun in Non-League/ some small European league, where our budget is still a massive step up. Or got a loan for someone scoring in the under 23s etc.

The chances of these players being able to step up might be smaller, but at least there is a chance... instead we seem intent on signing crap on fairly high wages again.

No way we can realistically compete this season. Not with clubs like Peterborough United who are able to spend more on a single striker than we have on our whole squad in the last three windows combined.

Exactly.

Tbh other than Graham I haven’t a clue who the others are bit he’s from the north east and free so immediately ticks the second box. I don’t mind Graham but he isn’t quick it’s very short sighted.

Really suprised at such a low fee.. Peterborough have got themselves a bargain.. I predict 15 league goals this season for him... Will be brilliant for this division but not as good as Toney.

Bang goes Bristol Rovers hopes of promotion. After so many promising signings this has undone it all... Excellent news for us on opening day

""We made JCH... He had a very average career before he joined us and wasn't exactly prolific, in the same way that we made MT the pkayer he was.. JCH owes us his career and his move to the moneybags club of the lower divisions. At least we recouped a decent fee for him unlike MT. Not that gutted tbh but we need to recruit two strikers to replace him as Ayunga and daly have next to no league experience"

Totally, totally deluded. He saved them from relegation. He scored 80% of their entire teams goals. Why do the Gash think that they're a special club that all players should be grateful to play for? league Two/One yoyo club, that don't even have a training ground, and their 'stadium' consists of 6 tents. They should be grateful that JCH clicked there, their 2 previous signings got 4 goals in nearly 150 games!

Ivan Toney has already turned down one team so there is a chance he’s staying

what I will say is their striker force is much much much stronger than ours with or without Toney

Their manager has 2 wins in 16, if you fail to win again yous lot need to be put down to be completely honest.

1.3m a bargain? In league one? I would value him at half that tbh.

No chance he's staying.

Wheras we on the other hand...

Not if you have an astute recruitment network......as opposed to no recruitment network.
I'm here :D

As i have said before on here about him....yes a very good player for this level. But that is only when he can be bothered. As soon as he loses interest or can't be bothered he is a waste of a place in the team. He ends up standing there waving his arms about having a go at his iwn players. He became detrimental to the team togetherness in our dressing room. That is why we let him go.

If he always put full effort in and was closer to his team mates he would easily be a Championship player or above. Yet another player that has wasted his skills. And you should know as you have had several players in recent years that have wasted their ability.
