He‘s one that keeps being hyped up that I don’t see the appeal.

He did nothing of note until he joined Bristol Rovers a year or so ago. With players like him I always think he’s either a one season wonder or he’s found the club that works for him and won’t be able to replicate his form elsewhere.

Having said that I also thought Chris Maguire would be an awful signing because Bury fans hated him and the last time he’d had a decent season he was in L2 so it shows what I know about lower league football.

Always thought he was after a move to the championship. Seems to get injured quite a bit but that’s a good signing imo. Always gets goals. He’ll not replace Toney in terms of goals and quality but a strike force of Clarke Harris and Eisa is a good one at this level and one I’d have liked to see us bring in.

Was chatting to him on Saturday night in centre of Bristol - burger in one hand, kebab and chips in the other...

'I'm the best player at Rovers.... I turned that shit around'

Small time player

Apparently had Jordan Willis on the phone asking if he was up for it

Attitude questions aside he's one of the best performing strikers in league one over the last two seasons. You would imagine that he would plug in nicely alongside Eisa. He's a downgrade on Toney - but so is everyone. Lets see what they do with the rest of the money. Chances are they'll spend it well.

Good player. Very physical and scores from anywhere. A threat from inside the box, outside the box and in the air. He’ll not score as many as Toney but he’ll be very effective

They seem to spend well every season but fall away at the important time of the season. I'm not sure if that means that actually they don't spend well on anything other than their forwards where they've got a great record.

Good goalscorer, but never seems to look particularly special. The few times I've seen him play against us I hardly noticed him. Doesn't seem to be anywhere near as good as Toney, he'll probably prove me wrong now however.

I'd have still liked us to have taken a punt on him mind based on his goalscoring record alone.

I know Peterborough have made a lot of money on transfers whilst we've been in league one but they haven't half spent a lot of money as well.

It's disappointing we can't seem to compete for these players. Mind will this lad be on £2.5 p/w considering he's signed for £1.25m?
Signed a contract to become Peterborough's highest paid player. Mates at work bang on about us having biggest spending power etc. Same as their owner at times. These lot over the last two seasons have spent much more than us.

So he's on £2.5k p/w as their highest player?
Edit: Another thing to note, have you noticed they've signed a striker before Toney has left so won't be under pressure to bring someone in if negotiations are protracted?
