Sorry Lee, I've just watched 90 minutes of your shite brand of football, I'm not wasting more of my life listening to you waffle on about it.

Another manager well out of his depth, either our club is cursed or the people who appointed him haven't got the first clue about the size of our club. The squad is f***ing lifting which doesn't help mind.

Exactly. They aren’t his players. He could have created a get out jail free card for himself. Instead he’s just making himself look shit.

I know it’s not the point you were making but the ‘aren’t his players’ argument is quite thin.

He’s head coach, he was appointed at the expense of Parkinson to coach and organise the team to yield better results than his predecessor. He’s failing at that task. Furthermore, under this new recruitment system, it seems that the players will never be ‘his’ as such. If posters on here are to be believed, he’s there to get a tune out of what he’s provided with minimal input.

Its worth noting that our strikers are Wyke and another target man. Not a lot can be done to change things there.

In terms of central midfield, it's either pick a uncreative midfield or some different uncreative midfielders

Its quite limited in what we can change. We are just totally predicable and have been for 2 year.

Its not all Johnsons fault, it's just a very tidy but very bland squad.

I thought his analysis was generally right, id say slightly harsh as we had just started to look promising up front just when they scored. I'd have preferred of course we weren't piss poor first half and vulnerable on the break. Ultimately i think we're too weak in midfield missing a 10 and too injured at the back to be good enough to finish top two but we're still capable of winning the play offs cos everyone else was shite. I still say our performance over the two games v blackpool showed us to be very unlucky not to have 4 points and maybe 6, Lincoln we have bettered and i'm not too worried about the other possibles. Either way it is a lottery the play offs - i hate it BUT we are in with a good shout and we might have two centre backs and a 10 by then.

That's the thing though, he's putting himself under pressure. Pick the best you have available in their favoured positions and, if it doesn't work- the finger is pointed firmly at them. Instead, he seems be trying to be clever and it simply doesn't work with this level of footballer.
By doing this he's giving already delicate players an excuse for failure.
Yeah, I seem to recall a turning point with Big Sam at the helm where he publicly said something about him having done all the prep and analysis and now it was simply up to the players to start taking responsibility for their own performance.

Thats true but come on , the teams that have beaten us in that last 3 weeks are no better than we are.
Fundamentally his thinking and tactics are flawed. he persists with 2 in midfied and as you saw in the first half tonight we were overrun , yet he won't change it. He said himself "last 10 mins we had a go". last 10 mins , Blackpool sat back and tried to manage the game , so we were able to get some forward impetus. That wasn't down to him.

Exactly. I also seem to remember him coming in and saying he needed to find a way to get Defoe involved in a striking capacity. Advocaat had him playing left midfield iirc.

Stopped listening as soon as he uttered the standard ‘they’re a good side’....... every fucker in the league is a good side according to Bilbo Bellend.
Did exactly the same, every side in this league is a good side according this sham of a manager......total chancer, f***ing useless.
