Aye, he'd have quickly been drummed out of Sunderland in favor of McShane, Nozza, the Collins boys, Caldwell, Breen, Varga, Babb, Williams, Higgingbottom

To be fair, if he'd gone on like he has done, he would have been drummed out...

doesn't think much of the men he leads

I never said he does. He still leads them though. That's why Chelsea are champions of England and one of the most feared teams in Europe.

you sound like JT! :)

seriously they are champions because they are the best players in each position they have the ability to beat anyone because man for man there is nobody better! without JT they have a player that can come into the side and it isn't weakened - they can win every game they play without JT

guess you look for different qualities in a leader.

Self pity, will go down a treat with his millions of supporters

PR mistake to say the least.

You mean like last Sunday ?

I have no interest in the childish soap operas and much ado about nothing, off the pitch in his private life.
Much worse things happen at sea, or just up the road in scumsville.

I just wish we had a leader with half of his leadership qualities on the park.

This is someone who I would consider had the right traits to be considered a leader - brave, honest and inspirational - makes you proud!

Indeed, in his book Buchan skirts quickly over his involvement in the First World War, when he volunteered for the Grenadier Guards, served in the trenches, and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery, getting “through the Somme, Cambrai and Passchendaele battles without a scratch”.

In the book, Buchan does not have a bad word for anyone. Instead, he heaps praise on others who helped him on his way, his team-mates, and other players from his era

they are the words he should use rather than stating he is the best player etc.
