John O'Shea

Sorry, in what way? Got a bit lost off there.

He gets caught underneath the ball and keeps hauling players back in the penalty area. Or am I wrong?

Players have no right to tell the manager what to do. And the fact they've come out and admitted not trying for previous managers doesn't bother you?
So when I hear the same group of players are begging Advocaat to return O'Shea to the fold after they've been performing abysmally for the first two games where he was dropped sets alarm bells ringing.
Why just remember his bad games? He had plenty good games last season too. Was outstanding v Mags, Everton & Arsenal late last season.

It was a constant issue with him last season and he continued it into this season. I'm not sure why you have an issue with what I'm saying - you watched the matches.

When everyone else around them is losing their heads.....

There's a well known idiom in there somewhere.

Step forward John. Best defender at the club by a long chalk.

Aye well, it's all about opinions I suppose. I'd rather keep the back two pairing together and sort out the issue with the fullbacks.

Carry on.

Does it have to be an either/or situation though?

Kaboul and both full backs have been absolutely horrendous, while Coates has been poor at best.

We have an experienced CB who, while prone to the odd brainfart for sure, has largely been steady along in his time at the club, while we have 1 actual left back at the club. Much easier to put O'Shea in and hope to tighten up/solidify the defence a bit than play right backs at left back, centre backs at full back etc.

Better than Coates in both games

:lol::lol::lol:

A certainty to be back in the side on Saturday?

We all know he's not the best player in the world, but by Christ is he on another level to the dross we have witnessed in that position over the last couple of weeks. Even in terms of his organisation alone you'd have to think we'd be much more solid with him in the side.
Agree and I think Dickleburgh has hinted at it already

Didn't surprise me that he didn't play on Saturday. Coates and Kaboul are clearly our long term centre pairing and they need as much time together as possible.

That said, after Saturday I can't see a way back for Kaboul especially and I wouldn't be bothered if I never saw him again. Played like he didn't care one bit about his own performance or those around him, which was the most unforgivable about the whole thing.

O'Shea needs to be there to organise and position. Coates will be alright alongside someone who can do that for him.
If Coco and Kaboom are our future we are truly cattle trucked.

Maybe hasn't got it now but has been massively underrated. O'Shea is a mag destroyer. The 5 in a row captain and led us to a Capital One Cup Final. He's been a model pro in a time of turmoil for this club, if it wasn't for players like O'Shea we could have ended up like Portsmouth.

Never lost to the Mags in his career as well

I look forward to him being caught under the ball and hauling back the attacker in the box.
The centrebacks aren't the problem.

Erm......they are like. Never seen anyone get ripped apart like Kaboul did by Neville on MNF. He probably ran out of time before he could get to Coates and the others.

Simple fact is yes JOS has his faults and i was glad when i thought he could be replaced this season but right now that back four needs some guidance and JOS can provide that

Honestly? I'd prefer to blood Beadling. At least he'll make an effort.

I agree, outrageous as it may seem in this dumb footballing climate.

We need youth, enthusiasm, fearlessness and hunger.

:lol::lol:

You are clutching at straws after being proved massively wrong

AGAIN

Careful now. We're all guilty of glaring errors:

JOHNSON - "Poyet will be a top manager I think, wouldn't of minded him here to be honest" (May 15, 2013)

JOHNSON - "How the fuck did Poyet last so long. Some idiots on here still wanted him too!"

You've plenty more gems in your locker n'all.

Of course they are. They're part of the problem, anyway.

They've not been helped by the fullbacks admittedly but they've been awful themselves in both games mate.

Do the right thing Dick and go with your instinct, keep O'Shea on the bench and persevere with the two you picked, full backs and midfield are the problem.

The centre backs have been atrocious as well Teed.

If rumours are true about him leading a player revolt etc he wants beating with a sock of his own shit. Odiouscunt!!

Mmmm? let me see, should I trust a managers judgement, a manger with a track record like Dick Advocatt or! the judgement of a complete fuck nut on a football message board? hard decision this like, give me a little time to think this over.

He is starting
If he does it will confirm player power at the club, looks to me like Dick has him sussed.

Aye, I've lost count of the amount of penalties O'Shea has conceeded doing this in his time here, remind me, how many is it?

Shh man. That doesn't fit the agenda. He's the leader of the rotten core.

Nothing to do with player power.do you realy think pva would still be playing if players had power.
