What were the injuries to the victims?

There weren't any. That would have been ABH, and therefore a police matter.

He broke rules of the sport he was playing. Once you accept that, you'll be on your way to coming to terms with this.

You just go against the popular opinion for the sake of it.

Also because he is a f***ing idiot, tbf.

Exactly. Not a mark on anyone.

You see some horrific tackles that could threaten a players career, yet we don't see calls for multiple match bans.

Personally i think diving and conning the ref is a far worse offense than anything Barton did.

That's all conveniently brushed under the carpet.

What injuries does diving cause?

he's admitted on twitter he tried to do that
he did it to gervinho earlier in the season too
nobody's brushing anything under any carpets

Too many people caught up in the hysteria unfortunately.

Think for minute about what he actually did. He made himself look an idiot and that's about it.

But the fact is not one single person suffered even minor injuries.

That says it all really.

"Diving doesn't cause injuries, therefore should be permitted"

Ok. Good call.
1. he elbowed someone in the neck
2. he headbutted someone else
3. he kneed another in the leg

the fact he didn't hurt them is neither here nor there. Do you think he didn't mean to hurt them and was just having a laugh?

You're him aren't you? You appeared around the same time he opened his twitter account

1. He raised his arm slightly with minimal contact.
2. He was 2 foot away from making any contact.
3. Big deal? you see worse tackles during every game and Aguero made a meal of it.

Uncle Nucky is like TLR after a luxurious wank.

Slightly less furious, but still a irrationally self assured dodger of logic.

Why cant he be sacked for violent conduct while representing his employers? If I acted like that at work (to a colleague or anyone else) I'm sure I would be peddled. QPR should throw the book at him. I would like to see him sacked and QPR hold on to his registration for the length of his contract so he couldnt play anywhere else.
Fantasy I know but he deserves it.

Spot on, 12 game ban for a dead leg is ridiculous. I think rugby is shit but football could sometimes take a leaf out of their book. The sport is full of exaggerating wankers, diving, rolling around injured (barton has done this before also) they should be the ones punished for making a mockery of the game.
