A hilariously harsh decision. More than Di Canio for laying his hands on Allcock.

Splendid.

This is payback by the FA for the way he has slagged them on twitter

He'll be desperate to get back on twitter to slag them again but will have been advised by his lawyers to stfu

This will be absolutely killing him. Some poor kid at his local McDonalds will be getting a cigar in the eye tonight.

I don't get how people think this is a harsh decision others in this thread maybe lenient but the FA have this spot on. Any player would've got at least a three game ban for the two incidents if they had occurred separately and he was already getting a four game ban for his second straight red card.

They've added two games at the most to what would've been expected.

Some people just like to be argumentative..............

Harsh that.

I have only seen replays but in all three instances he appeared to be provoked.

I think his reputation has preceded him.

It would have been an 8 matches max for anyone else.

I can't see the problem with his reputation preceding him. He's been banned in the past for headbutting and throwing punches, and clearly hasn't listened.

If the two incidents had happened in different matches, he would have received 5 and 6 games bans for them individually ... coupled with his admission that he 'hadn't lost his head' and was consciously trying to 'take one of them with him', I think it's fairly lenient.

Can't see him appealing as I think the most he could hope for would be a 1 match reduction to take it into line with treating each as a separate red card.

Completely deserved. All 3 of his incidents were red card offenses. The fact the bloke is a grade A ****, just makes it funnier.

Because a 12 game ban for effectively having a crazy moment during a football match is ludicrous.

No one was hurt at the end of it all, he just made himself look daft.

f***ing crazy decision.

3 acts of violent conduct.

Should be a lifetime ban

This the guy has had so many chances to reform.
He is just a nasty low life who should be inside rather than earning a fortune as a footballer.
Plus the fact he is not any where near as good as he thinks he is , on the field.

Bugger ... It's not even a twelve game ban for the two charges, it's only 8 to follow on from the 4 matches he was automatically banned for! He has got off lightly!!!
Twat!

Re read my reasoning and comment again then give reasons why he shouldn't.

On top of the ban he gets a £75k fine !!!

Less than 1 weeks wages to the horrible scouse kernt !!!

The FA are a f***ing shower of incompetent arseholes !!!

Do you not want that type of thing to be discouraged like? They've got to take a hard line, if people can't manage to discipline themselves its up to someone else to to it for them. I've rarely got a good word to say about these clowns but they have taken the right course of action with Barton.
