Joey Barton latest dig at SAFC

He wants the Mag job. It’s quite obvious, that’s why everything out of his mouth is a dig at Sunderland.

They hate him too though
Even if they like him he'll need to spend more time improving as a manager and less time trying to get "bites" like a little virgin on an Internet forum if he wants their job. Had a canny budget at Fleetwood, ultimately didn't get them where they wanted. Went to Bristol Rovers with them outside the relegation zone, says the previous manager was negligent, ends up getting less points per game than he did and now they look very likely to go down.

Honestly, some people say "just don't discuss him, that's what he wants". Doesn't work like that. If anyone keeps on saying stupid things people will discuss them. That doesn't mean they're "winning", it means they're sad as fuck if thats genuinely what gets them off in life. I love the fact that an ex-Premier League footballer, who you'd think should have so much going right in his life as a result, might be sat thinking he's "won" because some people on a forum are saying he's a knob.

In the Daily Mail this morning...

How bizarre, Joey Barton's insistence that he would never manage Sunderland. Lee Johnson the current manager, has got them to third in League One, two points off automatic promotion with games in hand.
Win these and they would go top. Barton meanwhile is fighting relegation at Bristol Rovers, having been sacked by Fleetwood. At the weekend Rovers lost 0-1 to Sunderland. "The red & white side of the North east don't like me" Said Barton. "But deep down there is a side to them that secretly does and they'd want me to manage them. They just can't say it out loud because they know i'd reject them. As much as they want me i could never do it".
Having rejected a job at a more successful club that he's never been offered, never been linked with and never to any public knowledge, even been considered for. We can only wait in trembling anticipation for the latest bulletin from Joey's World.
In the meantime a spokesman from Sunderland said... Huh?
An utter c ck

Just ignore him.

This. He plays the pantomime villain because he knows he gets a reaction. Fair enough I can understand him getting one in his playing days both for and after Newcastle, and even in his first visit or two as a manager, but the sooner he doesn’t get the attention he craves the sooner he’d find something else to yap about.

But again, even if he gets a reaction and keeps getting a reaction, it reflects much worse on him than it does on us. He's the ex-Premier League footballer, hell the ex-International, who has a job in football which loads would want who, rather than cracking on and making a success of it, is trying to "troll" some football fans like a socially maladjusted 14 year old, whilst failing miserably at the day job. People are laughing at him.

Disillusional, irrational people think everybody love them and want them. The bloke is more to be pitied and the sooner he gets treatment the better.

I wonder what the Bristol Rovers fans make of him as they seemed a canny bunch up here. Surely they can see he is a bellend too.

True, he’s a sad knacker there’s no doubt about it. Just think it would hurt his ego more if he was ignored completely.

Says stuff to get a reaction, and here we all are reacting to it.

If I was the owner of Bristol Rovers, I'd be telling him to focus on the job at hand, but then again, I wouldn't of hired that utter bellend in the first place.

Why is he always on about the North East clubs? It would be funnier if he went on about his native area. "Man Utd secretly want me to manage them but are scared of my City past" or "Liverpool secretly want me but know I prefer Everton" etc. ..

A few are missing the message here - he's not calling out to us, he's calling out to the mags. That's the job he thinks he'll get one day. He's laying the foundations for that day by having a dig at us, their only rivals. He knows what he's doing, the sychpantic little arse-wipe.
