Joey Barton latest dig at SAFC

In the Daily Mail this morning...

How bizarre, Joey Barton's insistence that he would never manage Sunderland. Lee Johnson the current manager, has got them to third in League One, two points off automatic promotion with games in hand.
Win these and they would go top. Barton meanwhile is fighting relegation at Bristol Rovers, having been sacked by Fleetwood. At the weekend Rovers lost 0-1 to Sunderland. "The red & white side of the North east don't like me" Said Barton. "But deep down there is a side to them that secretly does and they'd want me to manage them. They just can't say it out loud because they know i'd reject them. As much as they want me i could never do it".
Having rejected a job at a more successful club that he's never been offered, never been linked with and never to any public knowledge, even been considered for. We can only wait in trembling anticipation for the latest bulletin from Joey's World.
In the meantime a spokesman from Sunderland said... Huh?
He’ll never manage a club half as big as we are. He’ll clog about in league one until his next fuck up.

He’s the quintessential mag. Never won anything or achieved anything of note but is full of his own self importance. The only way he can square his delusion with his failure is to look for a rivalry with us. That’s why even when we are not at all relevant to one another he/the mags can’t help but obsess over us.

hope he ends up in jail.

he hasn’t like. If he’d beaten us then maybe,...but now his cup final is over, he lost, and he’s about to relegate his team.

We beat him yet here we are on another thread

He’s definitely got a tile off. Why would we want an arsehole like him ? What has he achieved in football management that makes him think we would want him ?
He’s right in that the red and white part of the North East don’t like him so why woukd they want him ?
He’s blowing smoke up the scums backsides again.

People obsessing over Joey Bartons obsession with Sunderland. He has absolutely got what he wanted winding so many people up.
I think he wants to wind weak people up and have a group on his side that appreciate his attempted windings.

I have a lot of NUFC supporting mates, and to a tee they also think Joey Barton is a pathetic little speff. So it's hard to see where he could be getting his kicks, there's no-one to grin with when he's failing on all fronts. Hence his hilarious recent thrashings in the media.

Good to see that getting beaten by us really gets under his skin. At the time I wasn't too happy with the game from our point of view but I can see now that there were other rewards to be had.

The thing people like Barton want more than anything is attention. Any attention, positive or negative is better than none at all. It makes them feel important as, deep down, they need to be acknowledged to feel they are worth something as they are highly insecure.
So the solution is really rather simple ... smile and ignore him. Otherwise your reaction will say more about you than it ever will about him.

He’s under a lot of pressure so soon into his time there and we have piled it on with our recent win. I think he expected a reaction, they upped their game and still struggled to create any real chances.

Their fans are already questioning his ability and his players haven’t given him the response he wanted on the pitch. I think he’ll take them down. It’s about time he grew up mind, the way he conducts himself at times you’d think he was a football fan on Twitter, perhaps he spends too much time on there.

It was in the Chronicle last week I think. He will be reading this board and loving the constant discussion of him. Barton threads that deal with his obsession with us and his desperation to be loved by the Skunks should go straight into the thread about them.

In other new joey says "my ex team mate I stubbed a cigarette on and the lad I assaulted outside of Liverpool maccy ds secretly want to be my best friend".

Perhaps he was trying to deflect from his team's abysmal record since he became their manager. Perhaps it has something to do with their likely relegation, or his ompending court trial which may result in his loss of freedom.
The bloke should be pitied as he quite clearly is obsessed with SAFC instead of concentrating on what should be his conerns.
