It’s f***ing sickening what they did. You’re spot on with Southampton. That’s the blueprint we should have done as soon as we got down to this division. Sign a couple experienced heads and filled the rest of the squad with what we had on hand and utilizing the best academy products we had to field a more than capable squad. Even if we were still in this division by doing this, at least we have homegrown lads that are young playing for the club instead of signing regurgitated journeymen and players getting close to retirement that will have to be replaced in a year’s time.
100% think people would have faith that we had a plan even if not immediate success
There are plenty of managers out there who would have loved a project like that
Its just beyond belief the talent has been sold at 16 level, that should never happen
This lies that we coudn't keep hold of the couldn't be further than the truth
even at senior level now, Mumba realised the club had no path for him or no real want to develop him, no wonder he wanted out
it makes my blood boil honestly just thinking about it
Kept hold of them and they'd all be in Neil and Diamonds position now pushing for a first team spot, Greenwood especially. Would have made for a very exciting season.
Instead - Graham, Wyke, O'Brien etc....f***ing shameful
Really is
they will have got some fees for all that lot, be over a mill now
none of which goes to SAFC
