Not sure people are moaning about him leaving the club necessarily, more about how it was allowed to happen which is a fair enough criticism.
It was allowed to happen as one of the biggest clubs in the world wanted a league one player.
If I was in charge of a league one club, I wouldn't be a twat enough to hinder an absolutely amazing opportunity for a young lad.
then u have folks moaning about us maybe not getting any add ons , when no one knows the facts, and we may have!
I'm sure don said that youngsters would go anyway, so the best option was to do a deal with the buying club which would of course involve add ons
Believe that if you will like ....

100%, if my son had the choice of being at safc in league 1 , playing as a bit part sub and playing in checkatrade matches , and the fans clamouring to get him loaned out to league 2 sides, as many are doing with Dan neil, or playing with the best youngsters in the country in man U's u23 team , f***ing hell, you'd want your mind checked if you wanted the former.
Hes developing great at man u.
It was the right decision for the player and the club.
Some people with a massive complex about safc on here.
Not sure what the fans think should happen has to do with anything

Three years developing there and get him back out of contract. Whilst that might sound mental I’d be keeping a very close eye on our former academy kids over the next few years, a few are undoubtedly MLF’s and may well be interested in a return if we’re in a better position by then.
Absolutely should do. I'm still pissed off at MON for not chasing Henderson when we was available at a knock-down £7m - and spending £10m on Johnson instead. The issue is gonna be that these kids are unlikely to consider a return while the dreadful Donald regime is still here.

Was never on that deal.

Much more difficult, at a later age, to make that jump for L1 upto championship or PL, than it is to drop down from a PL club to championship, L1/L2 team.

Here is the LFC U18's team v Man City from a few weeks ago:

Liverpool U18s: Ojrzynski, Wilson, Chambers, Quansah, Koumetio (Jonas, 60), Stephenson, Corness, Balagizi (Musialowski, 82), Stewart, Woltman (Mabaya, 67), Frauendorf.

(Layton) Stewart and Billy (Koumetio) already have great reputations and so playing with these and against the City U18's surely must be better for the former SAFC academy player. I am going to stick the City side here as well to see how many of this lot make it as professionals...

Mikki Van Sas was in goal, shielded by a back four of Kwaku Oduroh, Shea Charles, Callum Doyle, and Juan Larios. Romeo Lavia was the holding midfielder with Harvey Griffiths and Darko Gyabi also in the engine room. Carlos Borges, Tai Sodje and Micah Hamilton formed our attacking trident.

Of all the disastrous football decisions from the Donald regime, the most awful of all was cashing in on promising children to reduce the pressure for him to return the parachute payments. And now we get to watch Graham, Wyke, Grigg and O’Brien playing up front for safc rather than greenwood and Hugill. Aye this is definitely what good looks like.
There’s no way back from these decisions but it’s starting to look like their too stupid to realise. If these kids go on to have Jordanesque careers it’ll be slung back at them every day on here. If we ever get back to top flight status then if we play one of em the abuse will be worse and it won’t be aimed at anyone on the pitch.

How would ye stop them joining a top 6 academy honeybun....offer them the new herm strip?
All this time and still knee Fookin Plan B....
Honeybun firstly would you want your 15 year old kid leaving home, as I have said to you before as a club you work your socks to keep them, show them there is a pathway to 1st team.

Not please go to Man United because we have an offer of £100k for you.

Proof is in the pudding sweetcheeks, he went and good luck to the kidda...but aye my kid would be given the choice as if he's that good at 15 he's a man enough to make his own decision, we send the Fookas to war at 16......

Don't tell me, we coulda Fooked off Manure and that would've been the end of it....

no chance he would have come back here then. he was determined to succeed there

There's more than that. Luca Stephenson signed a new contract at Liverpool, Asoro is at Genoa, Jacob Young went to Hoffenheim, Woud to Willem II, Stryjek could still have been an option for us, Ethan Robson is doing great at Blackpool, Williams Kokolo and Cole Kiernan went to Boro, Morten Spencer to Leeds. You forgot Embleton too.

It's disgrace.

dear god this is depressing. Mind you, the academy is impressive
United apparently.

aye.
