While I'm inclined to agree with you, we do have the benefit of hindsight. If we'd gone up regardless selling him could have been seen as the correct decision also.

He's putting himself in the shop window. It's a great move for a player at that level, you get a about a million times more attention than plodding along for a club struggling in the Championship.
