Latest on Ji
Latest news on Ji is he will remain in the Bundesliga with Dortmund offering 3M transfer fee on the lad. It just makes me sad that we will remain close to relegation yet again with moves we could have avoided with some insight.
Ji is by no way a world beater. But he is only 21 and how many 21 year old plays for the National Team, scores in the Olympics, scores against Chelsea and City and is the consensus the reason a relegation bound team is saved through his heroics?
Most of couldn;t even score with Amanda Jones at that age...
Even Chicharito came to United at 23, RVP did not peak until 24 and Stevie G was over 25 when he went crazy in the Championship League. Cetainly not comparing him to any of the three but he has done more than many think without even getting a proper chance. After some research, I found Korean players all need to serve a mandatory 2 years in the Army unless exempt. Ji is exempt because he won the bronze medal in the last year Olympics. His back up Son Heung Min just signed for 10M for Bayern Leverkusen is NOT exempt as he was not part of the team. Why would Ji's back up for the National side sign for 10M when his status in the Military is not clear and yet some are questioning if we could fetch even 3M for the lad? Is there something Bayern Leverkusen, Dortmund and the National Team seeing in Ji that MON and his legion couldn't see? Is the runner up for the Championship League foolish and us close to relegation much more wiser telling amongst us that he is not suited for this league? Surely amongst this madness we have to look at ourselves and say we did it again. Hope we can finally nuture CW and stop complaining about his shortfalls when he wasn;t even given a chance. Ji will leave us and wish him good luck in the Championship league next year as we will yet again fight for the drop zone and complain about CW, McClean and others while ignoring the fact we are all responsible for the state we will be in. Good luck Ji and don't look back.
