We'll be lucky to get 2m for him.

So he always seems to get up for big games and the people who don't particularly rate him that highly were wrong for not rating him, even though you've more or less admited he wasn't 'up' for the majority of games (albeit many short ones) he played in for us? Whatever way you try to dress that up, you're acknowledging he didn't play that well for us, yet want us to rate him on potential, stemming from the fact he's got some ability.

Anyone could see he had some ability about him btw, but the Premiership is a faster paced league than the Bundesliga, like it or lump it. Therefore to get extended chances and to actually excell in the Premiership, you need to really have a lot about you and no one in their right mind could argue Ji at 20 (ish) showed that over here, irrespective of what he's done playing above expectations in a poor side over there.

It's no quicker than the bundesliga.

This will be the strangest deal for some time like
CL finalists pay £6m for a player who struggled to get a look in here...

It hasn't worked out for him here and I can't see where he will fit in. We should sell him, if for some bizarre reason, anyone offers us over £4m we should snap their hands off.

Apart from the Man City goal he's not impressed in a Sunderland shirt. But he looked decent at the Olympics. Seemed quite clever in finding openings for others from a bit further out than the box.

Still 6-7m seems a lot. Maybe it's Euros.

Which would make it around £5.5-£6.5m - still way over priced.

We'll get £2m for him I reckon.

It doesnt mean the players are quicker. Its the tempo at which the games are played at.

Perhaps once upon a time. I watched a fair bit of the bundesliga last season and it didn't look any slower imo. I watched some cracking end to end games.

If this was Football Manager I would demand a 25% sell-on fee, in case he goes to Dortmund and becomes a world renowned star and we look like mugs.

I would rather give him a chance or another loan next season, than selling him for 2m.

No point in another loan, he'd be worth nowt by the end of it. I'd like to see him get a chance here but if he wants to go, and who could blame him, 4m or so with a sell on clause would be good business.

10m (Mig) 8m (Sess) 5m (Ji) 2m (Vaughan)

25m plus another £20m from our swelled coffers/TV money bonanza

45m? Could be quite a good summer for us.

Oh dear...he barely played any games for us man. 10 minute substitutions chasing the game don't count...And when he did he was shoved into a team that couldn't pass the fking ball to save their lives and not in his best position...so.yeah, you were wrong not to rate him on that basis.

Anyway now he has proved his is a top tier player, however you slice it.

BTW in CM he has averaged 12km/game - more than any of our players do, and making more passes as well - so I've no idea what you mean by 'faster game' - unless you mean more hoofball, in which case I'd agree wholeheartedly in our case...the idea that those speedsters Gardner and Seb and Jack Colback are in any way more suited to the 'faster paced' Prem in CM than Ji is laughable...
